2024 Presidential Race

The gloating over the presumed reaction to a Trump win is probably accurate, but when I see all the posts acting like this thing is in the bag, compared to most polling averages calling it a total tossup, I can’t help but think we’re going to have another meltdown either way.

You heard it from me. This thing is entirely too close for whatever reason. I'm not going to gloat though I would be relieved. I'm more interested in media reaction if he wins. That is where our real problems with dishonestly lies. I will have disappointment if Trump doesn't win.

Economically I will probably survive though real wages have been diminished since 2021 and would continue. I would worry about the American Dream for future generations because the government seems more in the business of sewing the seeds for divisiveness and picking winners and losers based on sex and skin color. Getting a starter home today in a decent area is almost a pipe dream for more Americans who are getting by on credit card debt.

I am going with Haperin’s analysis..he says the campaign polls are high dollar and much more comprehensive, and Harris is down much more than public polls.

That said,who knows.

Trump is the epitome of "divisiveness." He also promotes division based on race. He's done it for decades and still exploits racial resentments on a weekly basis to shore up support amongst those angry at the country's shifting demographics.

What on Earth makes you think Trump would do anything to change that?!?!?! To the contrary, he is funded and supports the big banks making gobs of money off of credit cards and his tax proposals would hurt the lower and middle classes, not help them.

Trump supporters throw around rhetorical ploys about economic struggles of the working poor and others of a similar class, yet they support a candidate who will hurt them, not help them.

Do you have anything backing up this claim? Seems odd that bankers would be heavily backing him when as you have claimed many times he can't even get a loan from a US bank.

The General has confirmed the key quotes about Hitler and that Trump is a fascist.....

So your distraction technique by dismissing a smaller point can't deny the main point.
You know, the democrats instead of trying to discredit Trump at ever corner, should look in the mirror and ask themselves "why are they voting for him instead of us"

I wonder where he learned it from?
and I wonder why it didn't become a problem until recently?

Godwin’s Law.
Wasn't one of the primary criticisms of her right out of the gate that she literally couldn't keep a staff intact, and she couldn't find people to work for her?
yes indeed

Moving on from people who do not have the capacity to articulate their nonsense.

...if a candidate moves on from a particular position how much movement are they allowed before eroding trust.

Personally, I can think of 3 distinct and separate views on abortion from my late 20s to 53. About 1 change per 11 years. If a candidate had that rate of change, would you distrust them more?

If they can't articulate why their views changed, no.

Why have yours changed?
