Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Man, Nico's performance after getting knocked out of the game was stellar. Recent article asked him about it and he said the injury "woke me up."

I really feel and hope that it woke him not just from the game but also from his slump. I think we watched him grow from a talented freshman to a veteran on that single play and that game as a whole.

He knows what is needed to execute this offense and how he needs to play for this team to win. He knows the full force of what the best SEC defenses have to show. I dont think we will see a scared freshman qb running around back there anymore. 2 more games to build on that and get this offense humming before Georgia.
I hope so.

Just win

Prove it otherwise

You think that the coaches are lying? You think guys haven’t picked up scheme/protections going from freshmen to sophomores because you haven’t seen them?

Where are you even going with this? The entire point began with me saying it’s better to have a sophomore stepping in to fill a hole than a freshman stepping in to fill a hole…because the sophomore has a year in the system to develop (aka, learn scheme/protections). Now you’ve taken that down some weird rabbit hole in which you’re trying to claim that no RB develops under this staff because some guys you haven’t seen play haven’t shown it to you.

I stayed the obvious: a player is better suited to step in and play as a sophomore than as a freshman. Whatever other tangent you want to go down doesn’t address that issue. But go off, I guess.

A woman had a sign that says “Trump, secure border. Kamala open border”.

comments from X:
Her bra is stronger than our border
Some say she was holding a sign. For some reason I keep missing it.
I think she also stole 2 footballs. Someone should check on that.
Kudos to the cop for finding something to grab on to that wouldn't get him sued!

We haven’t seen?!?!?!!

You said it yourself. Not developing.

Bishop and Sampson is all we have. Sampson goes pro you take a transfer. If he stays, cool take Morris.

I assure you that this staff will take Morris if they can get him. No matter what else happens. They’re not really concerned with your opinion. Because Morris is really good.

I think that was exactly the game we needed to grow. A game we struggled through and had to make plays to win the game. Those first 4 games were way too easy. Heupel coached an excellent game, which is what I've come to expect from him. This bye week and the few weeks wait to play georgia are going to kill me now.

I don’t think UGA is going to have much of a dip though. They just might land another #1 class this cycle.
Recruiting rankings are like AP rankings, mostly a popularity contest. Recruits are mostly ranked on who is recruiting them. I personally don't put much stock in recruiting rankings. I made be old but I put them in the same category as metrics. I am a numbers guy and I know too much can be made of statistics. I think we are recruiting at the same level as the other elite schools right now. We are competing for the same athletes.

Oh it was Brooks. Replay cleared it up for me.
as an effort guy i appreciate it.

difference is athleticism. to be the last guy, tough enough mentally to put a paw on the gazelle, to me is a bigger deal than the interception. IMG_5471.jpeg
and that interception was nuts. it's a game of inches, huh huh, literately he misses. we lose.
