I bet Ubben was in heaven knowing teenagers were using tobacco products.

I’m surprised that Ubben or, another of his contemporaries, hasn’t penned an article about how these recruits should be ruled ineligible at Tennessee for entering the field of play. It would just be the type of lazy journalism I expect these days.

Jourdain Thomas is a JR but since he RS this year he will have 2 years left. Everybody else true Sophomores.

I knew he was older, what about Jakobe Thomas?

Who do we want to lose here?

I say Missouri because they have an easier schedule and still only have one sec loss.

Plus it would make our strength of schedule/win over Bama look better.

But I wouldn’t shed a tear if Alabama got more dirt thrown on them.

Imo, the more games Alabama loses, the better. I want their program to enter a hiring/firing cycle like we had and the natives are already super restless.

I want Bama to go down. If their resume is close to ours at the end of the year the committee probably puts them in. Leave no doubt.

This isn’t a comprehensive recap but I saw AP in an On3 interview about the recruits reaction to the atmosphere of the game. He mentioned that it’s hard to have a bad time on a visit but that game atmosphere with the win was excellent and excited the recruits. Ultimately he hinted that a player Tennessee has been calling wasn’t answering previously. After the win the player reached out to the coaching staff. AP said it’s a position of need. I guess OL, DL, or RB. Possibly a high ranking recruit.

RB isn’t a position of need though.

I watched the interview. It was hard to tell (to me) if the context of the comment was in relation to a position of need on the roster or this class. We do need a 2nd Rb.

BTW. 77’s cheap shot knee to the back of McCoy was completely unnecessary and could have been season ending. The SEC needs to look at that. He 100% targets our best cover corner.

100%! You saw it too. I’m sure it was probably mentioned in the game thread when it happened, but I don’t follow in there during the game. I saw it immediately on the review and said something to our text group about it. That was 100% a cheap shot and intentional.

Probably darn good scouting + investing elsewhere. Scheme already gets you most of the way to a solid run game, OL needs more talent. Elite RBs are less important than both, but we look good in that room anyway with Sampson (arguably the best in the league right now), Bishop, Seldon, etc.
