Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Its not nice to laugh at others misfortunes. But, they lost to THIS Florida team 48-20. And nary a mention lesser Stoops' impending hot seat😂😂. Kentucky has such micro penis energy, the old Big Gucci Sosa energy...View attachment 689591
Florida has far more studs than the Mildcats. They may be undisciplined and poorly coached but they have some dudes.

It’s not a zero sum game. Getting Morris doesn’t preclude getting an OL.

And I would argue it is a position of need. We have one RB in this class and maybe he’ll be good, maybe he won’t. Baker has not been dominant in high school. You don’t wait until the year you have a hole to fill to sign a freshman to fill it. You sign guys and develop them so when the time comes, he’s ready to step in.

Most importantly…it’s not about position with Morris….he’s REALLY good. And perfect for this offense.

Take a transfer.

Development…who on that list has developed other than Bishop? Exactly….so why take another freshman to develop? Get someone to fill Sampson’s place.

I would not worry. If I could have scripted the future of Tennessee recruiting I could not have written a better future. Bama and Georgia coming down to earth, Florida in the crapper, we are in the catbird seat as far as recruiting goes. Hell as everything goes.
For those of you who were not around for the good ole days, these are the good ole days, maybe better.

I don’t think UGA is going to have much of a dip though. They just might land another #1 class this cycle.

Missouri at Alabama

Who do we want to lose here?

I say Missouri because they have an easier schedule and still only have one sec loss.

Plus it would make our strength of schedule/win over Bama look better.

But I wouldn’t shed a tear if Alabama got more dirt thrown on them.
TN needs all of it's opponents to start winning games to help our SOS.

I'm not going to say the Yankees will win but I would let it ride. Looking at a possible 7 game series.
400k is a lot of juice to leave on the table.

You can wait through game 1 and even if they lose get a significant cash out, maybe even game 2. If they win game 1 that number is over 450 I would bet.

RB's are a dime a dozen in NFL anyway.

He's a smart dude. What does he earn/prove by coming back? Line loses three major starters. Its a no brainer, its lose/lose for him to return. He'd get beat to death.
Yup, on his way to a Kamara style career, who he patterns his running style after. It's his time.

Wait…you just said it’s not a need. Now it’s such a need you want to take a transfer? You’re all over the place with your argument.

Transfer RBs cost money. They expect to start right away. Take one, and you likely lose an existing RB.

Who has developed? Sampson, Wright, Small, and Bishop…every RB under Heupel. The hell are you talking about?

But none of that is the point. The point is, we want good players. Daune Morris is REALLY GOOD. Top 3 player in the state. Arguably top 2.

Here you go. Vols talk around 8 mins then AP joins.

“And there might have even been a ‘25 who had not really been taking Tennessees phone calls who called and said ‘hey I need to talk.’”- AP

I didn’t see where he suggested it was a position of need though.

Dang that is a lot of $$$

I think I let it play out - at least see what things look like after game 2.

Then maybe reevaluate.

If Yankees are up 2-0 the offer will be higher.

If down 0-2 easy cash out but will be less.

If 1-1 then the cash out is likely the same and you’ve seen how each team is playing.

If Sampson leaves (and I think he will) then we may hit the portal for a RB. I think it is definitely a position of need.
In the college game, every position is a position of need, every year. Believe me we are going to start stacking like firewood from here on out. The last two weeks have been massive for recruiting, and not just in football. You should have seen the recruits walking down onto that field. And we put on a couple impressive shows, I'll guarantee they never seen nothing like that.
We recruit like Alabama and Georgia now.

If I have to take a RB then it’s gonna be a transfer.

Who the hell cares if we lose anyone??? None of the guys have played so it doesn’t matter to me. You aren’t losing Bishop, so again, don’t care. If someone wants to leave because of competition then they shouldn’t have been here.

The hell am I taking about? From the listed guys on the list? Where the **** are you going with your argument? I’m talking about the players on that list. You can’t name any of them so you had to pick guys from the past, got it.

I’m easily taking the money and running right now

Who else has developed besides the guy that has and all the freshmen lol??

RB room has never been a problem during Heupel’s tenure. We’ll be just fine.
