They're more 9-3 than 10-2 moving forward. An 8-4 season wouldn't be a huge surprise (could happen this year). SEC is tough as nails now and they have less of a talent advantage and a much worse coaching staff/head coach.

Transfer portal and NIL changes things dramatically for the Cheating Tide. Things they got away with under the table for years are allowed and are legally being done by every school in the country. The talent advantage they had for so long isn’t nearly as wide as it once was. Beautiful to see. Will be interesting to see who the bandwagon Bammers decide to cheer for when they decide they can’t stand 9-3 anymore.

I’ve been wrong and could be wrong and could be wrong about this…but I think Alabama fans are going to get a heavy wake up call over the next few seasons. They’ll still be good. 10-2, 9-3 kind of good. The dominance of the Saban era is over, though. DeBoer doesn’t own the SEC officiating office, so the rigged nature of Bama games will largely be over

Bingo. Even playing field = end of Bama’s dominance. No doubt that Saban was a great teacher of the game, but at the end of the day, talent advantage is what got him over the hump when it comes to winning so many championships.

Glad to see JG back in Knox yesterday. Most would have left never to come back again after how much heck he caught here (some of it justified). Tough, tough dude who frankly never stood a chance here with Butch and Pruitt coaching him. Will forever wonder what could have been with him had he had just decent coaching. Butch and Pruitt ruined him.

What's wild is JG would have absolutely THRIVED in Heupel's offense. To be honest he probably ends up with a pretty solid career had he just gotten to play under Butch with DeBord at OC.

But a true Dual Threat that was sling 60%+ with a good touch on the ball would be made into a pretty impressive QB. I think JG would have been somewhere between Joe and Hooker...
