Hell yeah. Wife and I just realized last night with the brisk weather outside...it is officially chili season. Very excited.

Please post any chili recipes you have, @morans. I'd be happy to mix it up, just none of that Cincinnati/Ohio crap...straight to the garbage can.

I’ve been making this chili recipe consistently for 20 years. Perfect hint of spice and lots of flavor. Been meaning to enter a cook off with it. I’ve never shared it publicly, but I’ve had family members and friends begin using it. Chili is by far the best thing I make and beer is an excellent binder.



3 Ibs meat. I prefer bison. (Brown meat with Taco Bell seasoning)

4 cans dark red kidney beans

4 cans rotel (2 habanero 1 fire roasted 1 hot)

1 can tomato paste

2 jars salsa (preferably medium or hot)

1 cup Chopped onions

1 cup Chopped green bell peppers

1 bottle of beer (IPA or Ale)

1/4 cup Chili powder (add more as needed)


A packet of your favorite chili seasoning (if needed)

A hint of garlic powder, seasoned salt, onion powder, cayenne pepper
