Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I’m with you DD, I think it is a combination of injury and out of game shape.
Dude is also a sophomore. To me it makes sense why he was the primary BACKUP at LSU. He's Hella gifted. I would not throw any shade at a standard player either, but the top 3 NIL guy on the field is open for some discussion imo.

It doesn't require any inside information to expect that Matthews is likely to play. Conversely, Matthews playing does not retroactively verify any claim to inside knowledge.
It baffles me that people do not understand that even highly touted young players need time to learn and acclimate to the level of play in the SEC. They are star gazers who think a five or four stars should just walk in and dominate.
People we are fine.

I had no idea he also coached College Basketball. Simply amazing. See Jackcrevol...some people can multitask.

Crazy how many immigrants or kids of immigrants had stage names to Americanize themselves. Or if you're Asian they just changed your name for you. My Ex at UT, her parents from Taiwan were some name in Chinese...might equivalate to "Chau" or so...but the officers just put down *Shaw* 😑

Lazy bones 😆

6 shows over 2 weekends in Asheville incoming in February.

Cannot wait. BMFS!

- MORBUD4ME off that album is a pretty funny song 🤣

Really hoping Warren Haynes is able to do Christmas Jam this year. He's always used that to benefit the Asheville community via Habitat for Humanity. Plus the musicianship for those concerts is amazing.
Glad to see you back on here @Devo182 and that things are improving for you and others in Asheville!!

There were many statements around this issue, some were more nuanced after. What I posted was what was stated at one point. It was also unusual for AP to even wade into this topic so specifically and then tip toe carefully after. Which is my primary point.
He said very clearly in the podcast after the Oklahoma game why he didn’t travel. Also, Heard was the backup at LSU because he was a freshman, and the starting LT at LSU is projected first rounder Will Campbell

College football is wild. If Nico hits on a couple of the passes he missed in the Arkansas and the Florida game, we are 6-0 and averaging 45+ points a game heading into a home showdown with Alabama.
Was thinking about this the other day - everyone talks about how unimpressive the offense was against OU. We scored 19 in the first half there and hit 2 big pass plays. We clearly got conservative in the second half, but pass plays were still there to be made - Nico missed 2-3 deep balls that I can remember. He also connected on one to Bru in the 2H, iirc. We were on pace to score 35-40 in that game and I fully believe we would’ve been more aggressive in trying to if not for the rash of injuries on the OL. Offense has been ass the last 2 games no doubt, but I think it was just fine overall in the OU game AND plays were there to be made against UF. The real stinker was just Arky. If Nico can get back into a groove like he was in during the first half at OU, the ceiling is the roof for this team.

Trying to decipher AP talk without context is fools gold and you know that…everybody on this board knows that except most ppl who post on the football forum. We will let it slide this time lol
