I just had an old Christian man, well meaning of course, tell me there’s no sports in Heaven because there’s no conflict in heaven. And he unironically thinks that’s a good thing.

But how are you gonna tell someone like me that watches foreign countries play baseball at 5am that his Heaven will have no sports in it?

He probably was just chit chatting but it put me in a real philosophical debate with myself lol

I think a whole lot of people would be very disappointed to find out that in heaven they aren't allowed to sh** all over other people all the time.

SEC office been located in Birmingham since 1948. IF by chance SEC offices did move to another location, HELLO DALLAS..

Needs to be within an hour of Knoxville for 75 years to balance out Bama's time. (Btw, until fairly recently Bama played its big home games in Birmingham.)

Because Legion Field Stadium held 20,000 more fans is why they played the big games there. Auburn used the field as well.

Mainly the spread won't move. It should've moved about 3pts in bama's favor by now. . . either they know something or they purposely & severely over-valued the spread in bama's favor to begin. Both are good signs for UT.

Random question.

I was at the UF game and noticed that Smokey (live mascot) only ran out of the T at pregame and then retired to the tunnel on the south end of the stadium. Typically, in the past Smokey would stay on the field and run the end zone on scores.

Anybody have any insight? I haven't been to a home game since Smokey XI took over and thought maybe he doesn't handle the noise well.

Funny you ask this. At an event in my town in Shelby County a few weeks ago, I ran into someone who has a family member of our Smokey. I think they share a grandparent. He said the current Smokey does struggle in the environment, and the school was giving him one more year to try to adjust. I believe he said they had invited him up with his blue tick to see how he would handle gameday. I enjoyed getting to see a pup so closely related to Smokey.

I started posting about that in the game thread as soon as I noticed it. Figured it might be too early in the week to be really telling. But now it’s Thursday and it still hasn’t budged.

I saw a clip where it looked like he had a go at someone running out of the endzone. Didn't look like a pup was enjoying his job.
