Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Dline May take a step back next year (still think they’ll be good just not as deep), but linebackers and secondary have a lot of talented freshmen and sophomores.
The DL will just reload, at this point. Should be a pretty comparable group. Ross has to step in and fill Pearce’s shoes though

Btw, I know some people have said neyland was loud for this Florida game, but I did not think so. I was there, and dang near everyone was quiet from early on. Only got moderately loud on 3rd down, hardly any on 1st or 2nd. Maybe it was just because I was in the upper bowl? I’m hoping we’re louder for this game. I think we’ll need to impact the game at least on 1st and 3rd downs in order to have a good shot at slowing them down enough to keep up if the oline doesn’t miraculously start playing a whole lot better this week than they have the past 3 games.
Was loud until the fumble then pretty much like you explained it.

Bring my own food. Usually make a sandwhich or leftovers from previous nights dinner. But if im lazy I’ll bring a can of chili and crush ritz crackers on it.

Eating out all the time is so bad for you.
What brand of CANNED chili do you like?

People can lay off the backup quarterback myth. We beat one at Okie, too. All the black magic stuff gets old imo.
Ha, my favorite class in Med School was VooDoo. If your name wasn’t Orange, I would make you selfie yourself doing a jig.

Fortuitous that you chose your moniker well. 😎

Don’t speak poorly of the black magic medicine again. Only warning 😁

Been to many games much louder than Saturday night. Was medium high, I was close to the visitor section but under the over hang . Think 126 was the highest DBS. Oklahoma in 15 or 16 sorry CRS was 140 and you couldn't hear yourself think .

Campbells Chunky hot & spicy usually does the trick but I have two cans of Jack Links chili in my desk that I haven’t tried.
I don't eat a lot of canned chili but there's sometimes I just got to have it. I'll have to check those brands out.

*Wolf Brand is pretty good and my go to. At a previous job, I had a customer that would bring me a case back from Texas twice a year. I can buy it locally (Knoxville) now but it's not as good as it used to be.

Saturday night was a good, not elite crowd experience. There definitely was a lull in crowd noise in the second quarter; it did get quite loud again in the second half though, especially on 3rd and 4th downs.

I was not in attendance, but multiple longtime season ticket holders I know all say that 2015 Oklahoma was the loudest game they've attended at Neyland. Not just in terms of sheer loudness, but the consistency of the noise throughout the game. It simply did not let up.

That’s cgi or AI overlay. No doubt whatever.
And while I'm an advocate of free speech, stuff like this is why we're headed toward some serious conflict. No idea how to solve it, but as long as people actively claim something to be true that they know isn't, we're always one AI enhanced lie gone viral from an armed flash mob.
