I am of the opinion that if Trump had played nice he'd just be another fake. I voted for him in 2016 because I very much WANTED him to be that A-hole and stick it to the political elite class who think they own this country. Everyone thought Churchhill was an A-hole as well...and let's be honest Lincoln got that rap as well. Sometimes you do need leaders that stick to their principles, don't play nice, and give the collective finger to the establishment suck ups. For every action there is a counter action, and when everyday people get discounted and mistreated enough, it will give rise to a candidate or leader that embodies the anger they feel at being mistreated.

You're not getting it. Being an a-hole 100% of the time does no one any good. Just for example, his insane attack on a dead Senator McCain in '20. I didn't like McCain: thought he was a political turd. But Trump attacks his military record which was pure idiocy. Pisses the McCains and enough Arizonans off to lose Arizona by a fraction. Exactly how did being an A-hole and attacking McCain's military service and record as a POW help Trump, you, me or this country?
