Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Ironically you ignored the post that tagged you with facts but decided to respond to this

Oh you mean this?? He said it himself “it’s the most accurate way to look at it”

Average recruit.
2016: 6th in SEC
2017: 6th in SEC
2018: 8th in SEC
2019: 6th in SEC
2020: 7th in SEC
2021: 6th in SEC
2022: 9th in SEC
2023: 6th in SEC
2024: 6th in SEC

ADVANTAGES BABY!!!!! There’s a reason I didn’t respond to it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Kiffin went through the entire TN roster with a fine tooth comb, before accepting the job. That's on the record.

I dont think Florida is very talented. Sure they have defensive speed, but I think Ole Miss is more so.

Never say never. But to assume a decision will be made without research, would be folly. He may be a repugnant human, but his football IQ is off the charts. Don't confuse one for the other. In addition, he's also a mercenary with no allegiances, and very few ethical boundaries. If the money is right, the fit is right (meaning he wont have to work too hard), and prestige is there he will jump.

Everything else be damned! Ive known the type in business. The bloodstains from slashed throats are still wet. The footprints on the ladder point upward.
Don’t forget the state of UF’s admin and NIL (Hint: Neither are good). That could be a deal breaker for a coach. It was for us.

Still ignored NCAA INVESTIGATION LOOMING and being better recruiting than we’ve had in 2 decades.

Reasonable expectation is that 6th moves up going into 2026 with no investigation looming any longer

Yeah better when you’re talking about our own team.

Again, 5th in the SEC just like 2014, 2015.

Fascinating what happens when you use your eyes.
The way I see it though is this is for revenue sharing, so it doesn't matter who the players are. Whatever players we put on the field are going to get a piece of the revenue. That doesn't necessarily help recruit specific players. NIL does that. This money has to be collected regardless of the top recruiting class or the 30th recruiting class.

Better!?

You mean on par?
Average star rating is BETTER than it’s been in 2 decades WITH NCAA INVESTIGATION LOOMING. Heupel has managed to maintain top 6 recruiting WITH NCAA INVESTIGATION LOOMING while pulling in BETTER PLAYERS ON AVERAGE.

WITH NCAA INVESTIGATION LOOMING just so you will quit ignoring reality and the facts

And now you see that paying off with how good the team looks in 2024

I get that.

I’m saying the ones that think this is some sort of advantage is mistaken when all the other programs will follow suit. That’s it.

I’m not aruguing that lol

I’m arguing that the our recruiting is on par with those past classes, good for 5-6 in the SEC like we are currently.

The coaching is the major difference here.

Our recruiting has been saved by NIL due to the NCAA investigation looming above. Idk why this is difficult to grasp. The NIL gave us an upper hand to negate the negative recruiting due to the NCAA investigation looming
