Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Lol.

How's it doing? Surgery and therapy go well?
Surgery worked that was July 2. About another month of therapy I think then they cut me loose. But I was told I’ll be doing my own therapy keeping it stretched out for months. But it mostly works and has some strength in it now at least. In the mornings it’s very stiff and tight and I put heat on it and stretch it back out.

I knew you had gotten back on the horse and used Bloodlust again. So, figured you were in good shape

Someone else linked this in the FF this week. I am gonna watch Murray break down Nicos film every week if possible. He does a great job.

Points/stats that stand out to me this week (if anyone cares lol)

We ran the ball 44 times. Only 23 passes. This bc NCSU dropped 8 in coverage almost every snap. Great job by coaches adjusting and taking what was there.

Nico threw those 2 pics, very next posession he threw deep 50 yard or more passes on the next play BOTH times. Snap and clear. Very mature, he flushed those plays both times and still had the focus and confidence to sling the ball immediately after deep down the field.

Defense held them well under 150 total yards despite State having an NFL WR, and a QB and RB that will get a shot in the League. Nice.

Our D has only given up 3 points in the last 3 games. 2/3 opponents were ranked. So much for the Banks haters. Nico and the offense gave up 7...

Our Dline is as good as advertized. We dont have a gaudy sack total...but TFLs are off the charts and the only Dline that was allegedly as good as ours was Michigan. They got BOATRACED by texas yesterday. Its clear who has the best Dline in the country IMO.

This team is much deeper than any other CJH team. Everywhere.

Bru and Donte combined for 10yds last night. Starting outside WRs. We still scored 51. Great coaching on display, State dropped 3 deep on every snap so we killed them underneath with TEs and RBs catching...and ran for 240 yards.

That being said, Bru and Donte are not as good as our starting X and Y from 2022 IMO. We are much deeper at WR though with Squirrel, brazzell, webb, matthews etc etc

We are gonna make the playoffs IMO. Barring an injury to our MVPs we are a playoff team. G0 VOLS. We also outnumbered State fans in NC yesterday. That was awesome.

Can you imagine Milton throwing that soft pass to the left side that went for an easy TD? Milton would have put it in the stands at 120mph.

I was wondering what happened to Kentucky?!? They got beechslapped by a bad SC team Saturday. Well...

Did yall know that Stoops was so close to being aTms new coach in the offseason that it leaked to the press that he was the guy??? I didnt know that. Then it fell thru, and mike elko from Duke got the job instead...so he has lost that locker room and I am sure their recruiting took a big hit also, but i havent checked because I dont care enough lol.

You cant sit in kids living rooms with mom and dad and tell em that you're never leaving, then try your best to.get a better SEC job as soon as the opportunity arises. Bigtime mistake IMO...Stoops could have stayed another 10 years at UK making millions as long as they made a bowlgame most years....instead he got greedy and pissed off the team, the school, and likely some or all of his assistant coaches as well. Will be interesting to see how the future plays out there.

As I recall, you are as rabid about the defense in football as I am. I had real concerns about Heupel being all about the offense and thinking the way to a win was just to outscore the opposing team, but the defense that played last night makes me think he might actually understand the game. These last few years seeing losing teams scoring well into the double digits with combined scores well over 50 points was making me question the game and WTH was happening to it.

Yeah heupel might actually know a thing or two about football.
