Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Cant stand Nashville. Tuscaloosa is nice, Auburn aint too shabby. Gainesville is a **** hole.

Frankly, what Knoxville has allowed to happen downtown on Gay St, blows it all out of the water... so convenient to 6-40/81. Or backroads South to Chatt/Atl.

We hosted clients in back to back days last week. Stayed at hotel downtown. Hot take: Nicer than the Greenbriar👀😂

Dinner across the street. Valeted the car...so easy, even a caveman could do it.

Truthfully within walking distance of Neyland.
I don't like it anymore. Grew up in the Antioch area, downtown used to have personality, different interesting stuff all over the place. Now everything but corporate backed generic clubs, bars and restaurants. Not much organic Nashville available there anymore.

And that's spilled over into West End now as well.

That's it. Nail meet head.

A buddy of mine from high school got sent there for a few years when we were around 19. He deserved prison but I was surprised that he ended up there. I'm guessing it was due to proximity since he and his family lived in Powell.
My wife's brother served time there back in the early nineties. We drove up there early on a Saturday morning. 1st and only time seeing that place. We got to spend some time with him and I sat in awe and curiosity of that place. About two years after serving his time, he died in a car wreck after apparently falling asleep at the wheel on his way to work.

Go Vols!

Because Florida is known for patience. They went through coaches faster than we did yet somehow no one remembers.
Because they taught a master class in manufacturing for cause firings to cheap out of buyouts. We got flak for refusing to pay Pruitt for painting a NCAA bullseye on our butts.

I hate going to lower broad now myself. Everything is so expensive and over hyped. Except for an occasional concert at Bridgestone or the Old Ryman or going to a Preds game, I stay the heck away

Watch the game on your phone or on the radio with him out by the lake. My dad used to listen to the Vols on the radio with his dad when they'd fish or be out and those are some of his best memories with him.
before phones the radio was the way. That's why we all LOVED John Ward. I "watched" a lot of November radio games on the tailgate of a truck at catoosa or chuck swan or some paper company land in west TN during deer season eating lunch with my dad and grandad and listening to "He's at the 30 the 20, 15, 10, 5..... give him six ......TOUCHDOWN TENNESSEEEEEE!" The best memories.
