We don't have a game thread and we are only days away from the season kickoff and you are obstructing game thread creation. Sounds like you may be the one that is hoping for our season to fail comrade yeti.
If no Nick, I vote @Enki_Amenra . He'll have the help of @Sally .

I will support whoever the forum chooses for game day thread author and in that vein I offer the future office holder my notes on the first game, for what they’re worth. jmo.

Tidbits on Chattanooga –

Their QB is in his second year as the starter. He previously was a walkon at UCLA and ran Chip Kelly’s scout team for 3 years before landing in the Scenic City. He was chosen second team all-conference by the SoCon coaches for this year. Key thing to know is he seems to like to throw interceptions, not that there’s anything wrong with that. jmo.

Chattanooga beat Austin Peay in the first round of the playoffs last year and they have a good bit of returning production, especially on offense, for this year. They have a total of 10 players on the coaches preseason all-conference 2-deep, 6 on offense (2 WR, 2 OL, 1 QB, 1 TE) and 4 on defense (2 DL, 2 DB).

Peay’s coach from last year left after that game with the Mocs and took a bunch of staff and players (11) with him to UTEP who we will host late in this season.

Rusty Wright, the Mockingbird’s head coach, in 5 years at UTC has never had a losing season. While most know they’re the pick to win the SoCon this year and are ranked #8 in the FCS preseason poll, Jeff Sagarin, who ranks FBS & FCS teams together, has the Mocs ranked ahead of both UTEP and Kent State. UTC is at #131; we’re at #16. With Sagarin’s model we’re a 37 point favorite at home.

The Mocs lost their DC to Clemson’s support staff and while they have a new DC this year, it’s still Rusty’s defense as his background is on that side of the ball. jmo.

I listened to post fall camp extended interviews with both coordinators and a 30 min interview with Rusty. One thing Rusty pointed out I noted was in times past schools like his would often get players from D1 transferring down to FCS to avoid the lost year of eligibility but with the new portal rules they no longer get players like that. Of course they also have a 63 man limit for scholarships.

After soberly comparing our team to their team I came to the confident conclusion that we should go through those guys like crap through a goose. jmo.
Here is the game thread OP. We tricked him! Now some neutral party, cut and paste with some images from ESPN showing how likely we are to win and such! Call it the game thread and let's roll!

Traumatic Brain Injury during a HS football game.
Whats even sadder is that apparently the hit in question wasnt even a big hit, apparently it was a normal tackle where he hit the back of his head, nobody thought anything about it until he collapsed on the sideline. Really sad situation

Interesting.

As an ex ETSU student that had a defunct football program during the time I was there...2 years...I still have no idea who their rivals are supposed to be lol
Chattanooga is the main rival, western carolina and Furman are the other two main ones for football

Two of our opponents playing this Thursday.
Will be very interested to see State even if vs the lowly Catamounts. Mostly to see McCall outside of Chadwell's offense. System QB or nah will be up for debate. Just interested to see how cleanly they play, obviously they should win bigly.

Arky will be on the backburner. They need to give everyone a reason to care how they look first.

They were super close to ending Butch Jones early too....
Scrappy as hell. Great program.

Also got A&M and UNC. And they've NEARLY beat UNC the last 2 seasons in a row on top of their earlier upset of UNC, and Miami 3 years ago too.

They are ridiculously scary vs P5. Nobody in their right mind should schedule those guys.

My brother is a Terrier. Really intimidating
I've always wondered what people think of Volunteers.

Most probably imagine some nice elderly volunteers at the blood drive or polling stations. Few probably know what sort of men the state of Tennessee were really volunteereeing 😅🤣 MFing badasses
