Windy's football discussion thread.

Got me a bowl partner if we go bowling in Florida any time in the future. Son in law was texting me about our #1 qb, I've been pushing him to pull for Tennessee. I've never been to a bowl game, and told him next time Tennessee made one in Florida, I'd just come get him, and take him with me. He said he'd love that.

I think this could be a really good year. If our front 7 can CONSISTENTLY generate pressure, it will really help a young bunch of DBs, which we've been led to believe is more talented than what we've had. People can bish all day about turnin heads around, and that will work right with better f7 play.

People forget that Goodrich and Jason Parker liked to turn a lot, and it was often the wrong way, which gets overlooked a little if it's a solid defense.

Often and when it counted last year, there was some abysmal tackling. That needs fixin. Also, Mizzou in particular, defenders not in their gaps, esp lb, hurt us a lot.

If we have a RB step up besides Sampson, maybe Keith, maybe Bishop, maybe Squirrel or Boo in a running package, that is really going to help the offensive fahrpower.

All these things are doable this year.

I feel more optimism for the Vols than I can remember.

Hope we winnemall

P.S. thanks timmie and billie

This season comes down to the OL. I can get UGA's DL outmanning us last year. But A&M, Florida, or Mizzou shouldnt be....

"Awful bold words for a one-eyed fat man", hope he's right...

Tennessee Vols player sends strong message to the rest of college football that will raise some eyebrows

I hope he's right, too.

I saw that and thought that might be good bulletin board material for opponents.

Eli Drinkwitz is talking out of both sides of his mouth; Tennessee fans have every right to cast him as a villain

"Drinkwitz wants to trash the Vols without people making a big deal about it. Sorry Drink, you can't have it both ways. If you're going to trash talk a team, at least do it when you can "stand on business", not when you get to avoid them for a couple years.

If Drinkwitz wanted to be the villain, he got his wish. But I'm not sure he's ready for the ire of Vol nation."

Honest to gosh here. I hesitated on misspelling it on purpose but everybody around here seems to have lost their sense of humor and or they sarcasm meter is broke, I decided to just spell it correctly.
