Trump Assassination Attempt(s)

Decent candidates can’t seem to get anywhere in either primary. Will Hurd would have been a good president. 0%. I thought Hickenlooper, Delaney, and Michael Bennet would have been great from the Democrat field in 2020. I’m not sure they managed better than 0% combined.

I liked Justin Amash and he got run out of the party and politics. Ben Sasse was okay and he got run out of politics.

I do think Pete Buttigieg is a pretty thoughtful and smart guy, even if I don’t think I’d see eye to eye with him on some policies and spending. Mark Kelly also seems like a decent democrat with the same caveat.

It seems like the first party to abandon primaries and just run moderates who he “not the other guy” will dominate until the other side adjusts, but neither will do that.
the way our primaries are set up is to keep the party leadership in control. Primaries are a race to the extremes, and then the general is a race back to the middle.

have open primaries. every party, every candidate. take the top 2/3/4 candidates total, no matter their party, and throw them into the general election. If that is 4 R's or 4 D's or 4 I's so be it. make the candidates run on their own individual merit, instead of the extremes of their party.

There isn't a good reason to continue the status quo primary process.

Nothing has changed except the candidate. This election is a Dem lock. As are all the rest going forward.

Do away with primaries and go to state caucuses, all happening over the same 3 day weekend.

Had 4 interruptions in an hour long youtube video from Heels Up begging for my money. Already. In each she states several objectively false lies before the begging starts. Examples:

"The former president openly claims he will be a dictator from day 1 if elected."

"He will make abortion illegal nationwide if elected."

Those are verbatim. The Dimwit wing of the Uniparty is absolutely shameless. They prove this over and over endlessly. Its insulting to the intellect of anyone with an IQ above room temperature. They lie about everything in a preposterous manner because as always they have NO platform. No good policies. No accomplishments...only humiliating this country domestically and on the world stage at every turn. It would be funny if it didn't also destroy this nation and our quality of life. What is truly sad is they destroyed the nuclear family and education system first...so that nearly half of the folks here are ignorant/stupid/worthless enough to believe them or support them without belief so that their handouts continue.

The Republican wing isnt much better honestly as a whole...but at least they do have accomplishments, a platform, and some semblance of values and sanity. We are living as the Romans did in the last days of their empire. Its easy to see this Republic is crumbling around us.
As I tend to lean toward fiscal conservatism, I’m curious… what does the 2024 RNC platform propose we do about the national debt? Reducing/eliminating this deficit has almost always been a cornerstone of the R platform, and we’re coming up on 35 trillion I believe. So what do they have in store for us ahead of the 2024 election cycle?

Spend more and blame the Dems.

Was anyone really surprised the female director of the SS would not answer any direct questions about a screwup?

An example from earlier period in my life:

Me (examining my now pink underwear): "Did you wash the whites and the reds in the same load?"

DoDO (Director of Domestic Operations): "What has that got to do with anything?"

Me: "Well, my underwear is all pink."

DoDO: "I wish you'd leave your shoes in the carport when they're dirty!"

Me: "Agree, but what about the pink underwear? Did you wash the whites and reds in the same load?"

DoDO: "There is no indication that washing whites and reds together results in pink. Something must have been wrong with the detergent."

So forth and so on. Took about five minutes to get an admission of the obvious answer. And, of course, I was the bad guy.

Nadler is lying through his teeth about Trump saying we will have a Civil War if he loses this election. The rhetoric he is spouting is on purpose. He is actually asking his Democrat voters be fully ready to fight these Republican monsters at a moments notice due to the Democrats being on the righteous/moral side.

Disgusting

Favorite part is where she says she thinks there's a lot of ignorance in this country. Lol.

This is after she said she wished the bullet had hit him in the forehead...... directly followed by how she wishes death on him, which she hates to say, because she doesn't have hate in her soul.

Complete FN moron!

No he’s right. Kamala has given them a reason to cheat. They gonna bring out all the dead votes, delay counts to see what they need in some states. Identity politics bs has already started. Media will smear him at any chance when he says anything mean in a debate. The dems won’t argue the issues, they will argue character. Much easier to slander that in the media machine.

Quiet in the back.

This is an identity politics race.

Haven’t seen it from either side since Bill Clinton left office. Who knew W’s “compassionate conservatism” meant lighting the fuse on the debt rocket as his successors have all pushed it higher. Yup, absolutely no candidate I know of has mentioned the debt, unless I just missed it. I don’t expect that to change. And don’t even mention it if you’re aren’t going to actually do something about it.

You left off the critical part:

SS agent: "Ok, let's go to Ruths Chris."

Director: (twisting her mouth around and up) "I don't want to go there. Let's do Chinese."
