The cursing alone is not the issue. Its the context.

Mace asks a question in hostile tone about whether a request for a document has come in, Cheatle in normal business tone says she will have to check and get back to her, Mace thunderously announces "That's a no!" She does this twice, then makes her remark.

Planned. Cheap. Low rent MAGA chow for the low rent MAGA crowd.

Do you have a reasonable explanation as to why 1. They hadn’t submitted those. 2. She didn’t know the answer. 3. Knew the answer was no but refused to just say no.

The two key failures seem to be the lack of clear demarcation of who would secure that roof and how, and leaving Trump up on the stage when there was a legitimate question about unexplained suspicious activity. He should have been taken off immediately until they figured it out.

You don’t know much about what has been stated by local police in the hearing today do you? Is communicating an error? He wasn’t taken off the stage because there was no communication. SS didn’t come to the meeting that morning. There isn’t 2 key failures. There are ALOT of KEY failures

I am at work so not listening but reading that their was a joint command post, and that in the command post the locals told SS about at least some of this. Exactly which parts and relative to when shots is still being determined. But, I do see that the local police chief says he THINKS right now that the confrontation between the local cop and Crooks was "minutes" and not "seconds" before shots were fired, and I don't understand how that did not result in essentially immediate evacuation.

Breaking News: "The Pennsylvania State Police commissioner is testifying Tuesday before the House Homeland Security Committee after members visited the Trump shooting site in Butler, Pennsylvania."

The Police Commissioner testified that Snipers who were on the second story of an attached building next to the roof of the building where the gunman was able to murder one, critically injure two in an assasination attempt on President Trump at his rally on July 13, 2024 were redirected from their station guarding that rooftop to go in search for Crook who was named as a suspicious person oddly enough at the same time Crook was climbing the building taking his position to fire the shots that he fired.

This blows 3 former public statements out of the water.

1) The Building's roof pitch was to steep

2) Agents walked away from their station because it was too hot.

3) The Agents were in the building directly underneath the Gunman that is a single story building

He also testified that local police sent the Secret Service a text photo of Crook as a person of interest 20 minutes before Trump made it to the stage and they still allowed Trump on that stage.

It should have. But that goes with the communication factor. Not even on the same channel. Also, the roof was supposedly being watched from the 2nd story. (Good view of the whole roof) but they left the room to go search for Crooks.

9 days? lol she hadn’t even been to the SITE OF THE SHOOTING. Regardless, she could have said no because of whatever. You think she wouldn’t know what was submitted to the house right before the meeting? House members were even asking if she wasn’t briefed on the basic questions prior to entering. She knew, she just couldn’t be on record as saying so.

Yes, all mistakes.

And put it this way: if your local cops are concerned enough to leave their posts so as to go search for this unknown person, that ought to be radioed out to SS who ought to remove Trump from the stage while it is investigated.

Exactly. Then you have to go back to lack of bodies for protection. I’m not saying they should have or shouldn’t have left the post but they felt it was a big enough threat to go search. One could have stayed IMO.

I keep seeing that thing about her not having been there. I'm really not sure why that is a GOP talking point (not that it matters now). The forensic investigation is done by others specifically retained and trained to do that. Her going there would have accomplished ... what, exactly?

They also stated they let the SS know that 20 minutes before the shooting. Why is the local police saying all this but Cheatle didn’t know if a document had been faxed?

Maybe seeing what could have went wrong in the sweeping of the parameter. Get a sense of the location rather than relying on video and pictures. Get on the building and then go back and ask your agents why they thought it was a good idea to leave it unprotected? Several reason for her as the director to go see what could have been handled differently

Also, judges, lawyers, juror members all visit locations of crimes all the time to get a better understanding of things. To dismiss that is crazy. They also have experts doing investigations….

You are conflating numerous things.

First, the 20 minutes was of a person acting oddly near the metal detectors. What I am referring to is the warnings by bystanders, which may have been what caused the locals to go look for Crooks.

You can make an argument that a person acting oddly at the entrance is grounds to keep Trump off the stage, but that's kind of vague. People yelling that a guy is on the roof and has a gun, such that officers feel the need to check, is solid enough information to have Trump get off the stage.

Cheatle was asked whether the names of the agents on scene had been sent to the committee, yet. That she did not know that particular piece of information right then and there is hardly surprising and certainly does not call for "You are full of sh!t!" theatrics, and from a member of Congress, no less.

Sometimes it needs to be call it like you see it. Lady was full of it and got called out on it. Mace just used words the other members used behind closed doors. Overwhelming amount actually said it without saying it. A former president was shot and she has ZERO answers 9 days later. All of them could have cursed her out for all I care. That’s that business. The house and senate knows this was way worse than just trump. This made the bad guys of the world salivate over the idea of killing a political figure. Just a bad look… no one will remember Mace telling her she is full of **** but will ALWAYS remember this moment in history. Maybe we should worry about that.
