Biden Just Announced That He is Out

The R's trotted out a D-list celebrity real estate agent whose platform was not having experience as a politician. Are you suggesting that qualifications matter now?
He HAD actually ran a large organization where he administered a large number of employees (and yes, some people will say he did a lousy job at it). But I don’t believe Cackles ever had a job outside of government? Maybe she did at some point but I never heard about it.

I cant believe the dems aren't pissed. They lied to them, stole their vote, and now installing whoever they want as the candidate.
They don’t care about any of that. As long as they figure out a way to stay in power they don’t care who the puppet is.

I'm not sure Democrats realize the opportunity they have here. They've been given a 2nd chance, and it looks like they're hellbent on blowing it. There are millions of people out there who won't vote for Trump, but who also aren't going to vote for Kamala, just begging for a reason to vote for someone sane and smart. There are 2 obvious moderate Democratic governors to pick from, and making them a VP doesn't help all that much (with the exception of picking up Pennsylvania if Shapiro is on the ticket). I'm one of these people. I will not vote for Trump, but if the choice is him or Kamala, I hope he wins, and I honestly can't believe I said that.

Kamala is unlikeable, condescending, incredibly annoying, and she has a really bad habit of trying to explain things like an 11 year old would explain something to a kindergartener. And this doesn't even begin to touch the fact that she was beyond useless as VP. And can you imagine that woman dealing with foreign policy and all the raging global conflicts? Democrats are so enamored with putting the 1st this or the 1st that into power that they lose people like me. I'm sure Buttigieg will be next in line.

Once you've grasped the ring of power, it's incredibly difficult to let it go. Kudos to joe for recognizing his infirmity and relinquishing the ring.

His party no longer supported him or his bid to remain at the top of the ticket. Are you suggesting that they should toe the party line and knowingly accept and support a cognitively impaired POTUS? Geezus, how tribal are you?
So it's your position that the prep week prior to the debate pushed him over the edge? He was good to go prior to that?

Seeing a lot of this

I'm not on X, so I cant speak for the posts you're seeing. This board has been fairly consistent (across the political spectrum) that Biden is in no shape to run. There is some division about his ability to remain potus. And the most division on how unfair it is to D voters and the VP with how we got here / how the party is moving forward.
In that way, the summary you posted is accurate but I think the context is missing.

No, I didn't imply any of that. Are you replying to the right person?

DEMOCRACY. You know that quaint old idea where the people VOTE for the candidate and then live with the result. 14 million people had their say and almost 100 percent picked BIDEN as the nominee. Now, sorry; store is closed, you made your selection and swiped your credit card. No 90 day return policy on lemon candidates. Now move along……

Yawn...

Few knew the depths of his cognitive impairment until he sh*t himself in the last debate.

There were signs but the WH and his handlers largely hid how serious it was. Even the elite donors were outraged that they'd been duped.
Sounds like that's what you are implying. He's not been fit since he took office. Has he worsened? Sure. The WH hasn't duped anyone that cared to look.

I disagree. I think Kamala is great candidate because shes the anti-trump, a black woman in short. Shell do a good job of dividing the country along the lines of people who are in favor of trump and his neo-nazi revolution, and those who favor multi-culturalism. The left is kind of up against a wall with trump. He'll ship at least some part of the left off to camps and forsake europe to the russians if elected. Both of which are completely intolerable.

Hey TurboVol, is that you?

Please, spare us all from the pearl clutching. You MAGA folks don't get to lecture anyone on the sanctity of the process or subverting the will of electorate.

Your faux outrage is laughable.

MAGA: Biden isn't fit to be president and not only shouldn't run, but should quit now.

****Biden drops out due to a loss of support because he's not fit.

But once Trump DID win, his party, even those like me who voted for someone else in the primary said „the people have spoken“ and United behind our candidate. We didn’t call for a do over

You stated something about the week before debate prep?

Don't put words into my mouth.

The democratic party hasn't even nominated him, what are you on about?

Primaries for incumbent presidents are merely a formality. The disingenuous argument you're foisting isn't even thinly veiled, please abandon this argument now - you have no high ground.

Up until the debate everything was just peachy according to many. My point was his mind was gone way, way before the debate. It was obvious to anyone that cared to open their eyes. The only thing that changed was he had a week of debate prep.

He didn't just rapidly decline. The dems were perfectly ok with riding it out until it became obvious he couldn't win so they substituted him out.

Yes. I think there were lots of people who realized he had cognitive issues but many - including many on this board on both sides that were absolutely shocked at what showed up to that debate.
I think you right..it goes to show how many voters don't really pay attention to events. Biden has been struggling for years...do you believe that the Trump effect blinded many to see the disaster that Joe is/was??? The hints were there from the start of the 2020 campaigning process for Joe.
