The Democrats (in spite of their hilariously misdirected name) have always had one central unified principle, POWER.And if he wasn't getting pummeled in the polls, none of this replacement talk would be happening. People that believe the debate was some eye opener for these people are incredibly gullible. The dems were counting on their sheep to ignore what was slapping them in their faces.
How would you reconcile this full-throated outrage with silence over Donald Trump's fake elector scheme, and Trump's belief that his Vice President had the authority to decline to count electoral college votes during the formal certification before Congress .... even when that Vice President had also been on the ballot? Such a thing would have marked a massive conflict of interest, which JD Vance endorsed, by the way. It would have been completely inconsistent with the fundamental principles of a democratic system of elections. The Democrats (in spite of their hilariously misdirected name) have always had one central unified principle, POWER.
Everything else is merely window dressing to distract and hide their one and only true goal.
If they can do it while appearing democratic , they will. But when push comes to shove, and they are in danger of losing power, the mask comes off and we see their true nature.
I’d love to believe this, but why should I? I heard drain the swamp first time around and it ended up just business as usual. Maybe Trump learned something from the first go around? but I’ll believe it when I see it.
Which is why I didn't support him in the 2020 primary.Reasonable people knew Biden was unfit in 2020. He’s been nothing but a bumbling, stumbling, embarrassing ass puppet. He hasn’t made the first decision since being in office. He’s been told what to do since day one.
He’s been lost on stage, fallen on stage, fallen over on a bike, fallen on AF1 stairs, switched to the short stairs on AF1, had the hell scared out of him by a handler in an Easter Bunny suit, used scripted interview questions and index cards to remember who to call on, had 9:00 a.m. lids, lost his train of thought while speaking on many occasions, pulled Ron Burgandies on the teleprompter….. his whole presidency has been a hot, stinking, mess of garbage.
Reasonable people knew this was going to be the case back in 2020….
Are you aware that alternate electors have been prepared by both parties in close or contested election throughout American History? See especially the elections of 1876 and 1960. I don’t think I heard anything about Democrats complaining when JFK had alternative electors ready to go in the aftermath of his eventual victory over Nixon. How would you reconcile this full-throated outrage with silence over Donald Trump's fake elector scheme, and Trump's belief that his Vice President had the authority to decline to count electoral college votes during the formal certification before Congress .... even when that Vice President had also been on the ballot? Donald Trump sure looked like a man desperate to stay in POWER to me.
LOL. We have had that conversation before .... and once again, there are big differences between Hawaii in 1960 and Trump's fake elector ploy. Hawaii had not been certified by a meeting of the electoral college in 1960 .... while the states which Trump lost had been. Recounts were still underway. Some of Trump's fake electors even claimed to be members of the legally chosen slate of electors from December. They signed their names to forms that identified them as such. That was clear cut election fraud. You clearly have a double standard here and a soft spot for Trump. There are times when you guys should give some ground .... but you just can't bring yourselves to do it.Are you aware that alternate electors have been prepared by both parties in close or contested election throughout American History? And lest we forget that Al Gore pushed the 2000 election took advantage of every legal tool at his disposal (as is his right as an American) to win, all the way to the US Supreme Court?
I myself wish Trump would have conceded gracefully when it became clear that no court was going to take up his case. But I cannot really condemn someone who, honestly feeling he had been cheated, trying to get his Vice President to delay the coronation long enough to try his final appeals. He told his supporters who also believed he had been cheated to calmly and peacefully utilize their first amendment rights to Express their displeasure. A large crowd chose to not heed that admonition, broke the law, and were dealt with by the justice system.
Again, Trump pushed it too far. But he was not some historically evil monster trying to overthrow the government. He ultimately accepted the court rulings, even if he disagreed with them, and voluntarily gave up power on inaguration day, in accordance with the Constitution.
Joseph Biden took the oath of office at the prescribed time and has governed without interruption throughout his term. And I will trust my fellow American voters to judge for themselves how those 3 1/2 years have effected them personally (especially financially) and make the appropriate decision this November.
Again, I clearly said that I think Trump acted incorrectly. His refusal to gracefully accept defeat continues to harm our country to this day. (Of course I do WISH he had beaten Biden in 2020. I would still be able to afford gas an groceries. I could still take my family out to dinner once a week. And I truly believe several brutal wars would not have happened).LOL. And this is your weakest defense of Donald Trump. And lest we forget that Al Gore did concede defeat and he presided over the certification of his own defeat before Congress. And lest we forget that Al Gore pushed the 2000 election took advantage of every legal tool at his disposal (as is his right as an American) to win, all the way to the US Supreme Court?
Yes, he did. The fake electors who signed their names to certificates falsely claiming to be members of the legally chosen slates of electors from their states committed election fraud. Trump had urged them to do this. That's conspiracy. But he never used blatantly illegal means (at least in my opinion).
Are you incapable of comprehending my statement that Trump shouldn’t have done it? It harmed and continues to harm me he Republic. And this is your weakest defense of Donald Trump. And lest we forget that Al Gore did concede defeat and he presided over the certification of his own defeat before Congress.
There are legal remedies if you feel that to be the case. And there is ultimately the ultimate check and balance of impeachment and conviction by the Senate. The left has tried those tools but has so far been unsuccessful. In that case, shouldn’t the Democrats be the ones needing to accept defeat in the legal system?Yes, he did. Agree with James Woods, and I've been saying this for a few weeks. However, I would at this point say if the dems or his cabinet move to remove him, that isn't being done in "good faith" at this point. Especially, the AG, the AG should have moved to remove him long ago.
Basically, if they can't convince President Jill to bend the knee than they're probably going to have to ride it out.
Jill should be sitting in the basement because I wouldn't trust any of them and you can't even trust the SS at this point.
