2024 Presidential Race

I may have a faulty read on his reply but I think he is disagreeing about the 6 months part. Not the part of worsening over 4.5 years.
That is what he is disagreeing with. And I am disagreeing with his disagreement.

I'll ask it this way.......can a reasonable person conclude that Biden was fit for office 3 years ago?

Can a reasonable person conclude that Trump is unfit for office?

We’re also overlooking another option of the Dem leadership, blackmail or impeachment. There is enough dirt on Hunter, and collateral on Joe to destroy his legacy and prevent book deals for the entire family. The only hitch in this plan is that Joe/Jill has dirt on them too

That a reasonable person could conclude that he can do the job for 6 more months but not for 4 and a half years.

There seems to be universal agreement that he is getting worse; and obviously disagreement over when he crossed (or will cross) the line from capable to incapable.
This is no hill to die on, bud ...... Joe Biden has no business being the President of anything right now. He should be in an assisted living center and living out his life.

Faced with the same problem ..... Howard Baker made the decision to let Ronald Reagan serve out his term in a strictly figurehead role. Biden should decline the Democratic Party nomination and delegate any and all responsibility for the next 6 months. It's the least messy scenario for the country.

By the way, Howard Baker (from the great state of Tennessee) was one Republican that I would have proudly voted for.

I'm not dying on that hill. I've been saying Biden was unfit longer that most.
My point is this...........if he is so unfit that reasonable people can only conclude that he should not be allowed to continue to hold office, then repubs should be vocally demanding the dems enact the 25th.

Yeah. You lost me. No idea what the disagreement is. Bham will be along one day to answer.

Trump is not unfit wrt cognitive ability and mental acuity.

This was the drum you were beating two weeks ago.
Shouldn't those who know him best and work most closely with him be the best judge?

(or will cross)?

You called for the 25th over 2 years ago.

I'm rooting for an open convention. In the short term is will look really bad to skip over Harris. But in 4 months that would fade.
Have we (Americans) ever had an open convention where a presidential candidate was "chosen out of thin air"?

I tend to think that the DNC would need Harris to be on board with that. Egos will come into play. I think Harris would rock the boat.

I’m rooting for an all out civil war (non violent of course) within the Democrat party. My hope is the few true moderates remaining completely devour the radical progressive wing of the party.
