This is at best a nothing burger and at worst a distraction. Really? A video game?Trump Shooter used Gaming Site that features Presidential Assassination Game
Trump shooter Thomas Crooks posted an ominous comment that appeared to foreshadow his attack on the former president on the gaming platform Steam – which features an assassination game.
Crooks, 20, wrote in a post earlier this month, "July 13 will be my premiere, watch as it unfolds."
The chilling details were disclosed late Wednesday to senators in an all-member briefing.

The game's protagonist, Dick "Rock-Hard" Johnson – "the best bodyguard money can buy" – is sworn to protect "the most hated presidential candidate of all time Ronald Rump," the game's description reads.
Lol HOLY SHLIT
Thanks for all of that. Will be interesting to see if any of it changes over time, but it all fits with what those who knew the shooter are suggesting, which is that this was an effort to gain some attention and notoriety and Trump had the misfortune of doing a rally close to where the shooter lived.
Tbh, I’m not sure I’ve seen this widespread a “cancellation” campaign targeting random everyday individuals for harmless jokes until now. Extremely sensitive busybody behaviorIn this time of social media I'm legitimately amazed people are surprised when they excited their views publicly that they would receive pushback and criticism.
I mean there's been example after example..... And each side champions their own when they do the cancelling. People need to cook with the rhetoric, when you hit send button consider yourself published.
Someday, when you’re scrolling social media, watch the ads for about any mobile game.
The ads involve the game being played with obvious strategic mistakes because somebody figured out that that drives more engagement.
I think what you’re referring to is the politics version of engineered engagement. Put out an obviously dumb conspiracy theory and people pointing out how stupid it is drives it up the algorithm and gets it in front of more people who want to believe it, growing your audience.
Rightwing cancel culture...
