Trump Assassination Attempt(s)

Flip the meme if you want, it becomes leftists making jokes about Trump getting hit in the ear with glass shards but not laughing at jokes about George Floyd (who died) or dead Palestinians (who died by the tens of thousands). Doesn't really hit the same IMO
@BowlBrother85 - Glass SHARDS!!!

So there was a post I saw this morning talking about a woman posting about the person that was killed at the rally deserving to die because they were a Trump supporter. How is justifying a one person dying at a rally for supporting Trump different than justifying the killing of thousands of women and children in Gaza for supporting Hamas?
Did Trump take hostages and attack Biden at a rally??? No..The comparison isnt the same

One is "Politics" the other is a 3500000000 year conflict.

Personally my opinion is Palestine / Israel thing should dealt with, over and done a loooong time ago.

George Floyd isn't a martyr and he was indeed a criminal.

But he didn't deserve to die on the street. Saying that doesn't make you a BLM supporter. It just makes you a human being.
Nobody deserves to die on the streets I completely agree and his situation could have been handled so much differently by HIM and the arresting officers, but he also doesn't deserve the Martyr like attention he has gotten since

I was referring to things like laughing/mocking people who died from Covid who may have been vaccine hesitant or celebrating/laughing about cops getting shot (just two examples)

It's not a phenomena that is limited to one side of the political spectrum

getting at the real information we MUST KNOW

I agree in general, but I think people are more likely to "like" pure tabloid garbage now as long as it demonizes people they disagree with
I guess I have a more comprehensive view of how we have consumed media through the years. When TV began to "push" boundaries, conservatives protested and were told to not watch. They were emotionalized by the opposite of what they liked. Howard Stern and Rush LImbaugh made names for themselves by keeping fans and haters hooked.

If you (we) don't like something, even on the socials, the ultimate trump card is to stop engaging with it. I don't follow Bama or Fla message boards. Those people who like that content will engage.

Poignant to use the term tabloid. I think that is exactly what sites are doing...it is digital tabloid fodder. The Jerry Springer show in short form video.
