Would not surprise me if it turns out Crooks would have shot at Biden to get attention in a world that was otherwise ignoring him had it been a Biden campaign stop instead of Trump. This may change as time goes on, but so far I'm just not hearing anything that shows he went after Trump, in particular, much less why.

In the simplest terms I can fathom:
I didn’t call you out for not calling out others. I called you out for being insincere and questioned wtf you thought you were accomplishing as somebody who has no credibility to call out inflammatory rhetoric. The guy on this thread was just the latest, most immediate, post-shooting example of inconsistency.

A re-read of any thread about January 6 and probably the Paul Pelosi attack would show that you don’t actually care about inflammatory rhetoric and have refused to acknowledge any politically inconvenient events as being direct consequences of inflammatory rhetoric in the past.

Trying to now moralize about rhetoric appears insincere because you’re not consistent. If it’s not sincere and not consistent then it’s not persuasive.

If it’s not persuasive then what are you accomplishing by making these posts crying about Biden? You don’t need to explain yourself to me, hence the “be honest with yourself.” Although it seems even that little honesty is too much to ask of you.

You know. You're probably right. I am sure this guy went out for no reason at all, and decided to crawl up on a roof a football field away from the potential next president of the United States and just watch his speech thru an AR scope when the self loaded gun accidentally went off. After all, guns are dangerous and have a tendency to just go off and kill people.

Don't be shocked if we see either of the following:

1. A rabid Trumper-MAGA motivated to perform a revenge hit on either a Democrat official, or Biden supporters.
2. A rabid Biden Demo motivated to try a follow-up attempt on Trump, or Trump supporters. A copycat as it were.

Accuse me of being an alarmist if you wish. But law enforcement are already anticipating such possibilities. And as usual, humans gonna human.

I'm pro-life. I believe that abortion constitutes murder -- the murder, moreover, of the very most innocent and defenseless among us. I also support the rule of law, and I oppose vigilante justice (not to mention the death penalty). If some frenzied soul murders an abortionist, it doesn't follow that my words are to blame or that I should stop calling abortion murder.

If someone believes that Mr. Trump "is an evil dictator who won't leave once he's in office," then he has a duty to say so. Viewing Mr. Trump as a danger to our Republic doesn't constitute advocating vigilante justice or political violence. If some frenzied soul subsequently attempts an assassination, it doesn't follow that the first man's words are to blame or that he should stop voicing his concerns because of a would-be assassin's madness.

We simply can't allow our public discourse to be governed by the fear of how our words might be processed by the minds of the criminally insane.

Shooting a former president and presidential nominee at a political rally seems like sufficient evidence, to me.

If evidence that he was just crazy like Jared Loughner comes out, then maybe it rebuts that presumption, but gonna need something to overcome the obvious, here.

Its called common sense.

Marketing is all about trying to convince people of something, to say marketing can't and doesn't work is insane.

100s of billions are spent on marketing per year for a reason. Nobody is going to say for an absolute fact to say the marketing worked, a reasonable person could very much appreciate it enough to know it most likely had a bearing.
