Trump Assassination Attempt(s)

Biden and the Dems took our rights during COVID. Biden and the Dems are ones that forced COVID vaccinations on people that didn't want them. Biden and the Dems want to take our guns away. Biden and the Dems are the ones pushing violent rhetoric and allowing anti-semitic violence to reach levels not seen in over 50 years

These are all things Hitler and the Nazi regime literally did. Yet somehow Trump is the one compared to Hitler.
It's what Goebbels would have done. It's what Saul Alinsky did. It is what the democrats do. Repeat over and over that it is your opponent that is doing exactly what YOU are in fact doing.

@RockyTop85 - saw this in the quoted RCP article

“You want to take a shot then find out the guy was holding a telescope?” the source asked. “The Secret Service is by nature reactive … and you better be right when you do react or you’re f-----d.”
I asked about that earlier today or yesterday. I theorized the SS has to know if its6a kid with a telescope trying to get a look at Trump or maybe even a photographer with a telescopic lens.

Don't forget during the China virus there were some democrats/Media saying going forward unvaccinated Americans should not be allowed to travel on airplanes, trains etc.. if they can't provide documentation that they are vaccinated.

Pearl Harbor, 9/11 and the Trump Shooting: The Dumbest Major Security Failures in U.S. History

1721008473174.png

The two greatest intelligence and security failures in U.S. history were the totemic sneak attacks on Pearl Harbor and 9/11.

Separated by 60 years, both failures shared striking similarities. Clues to both were available in the raw intelligence gathered by the U.S. but they slipped through the gaps of multi-agency cooperation, poorly focused resources and a failure of imagination. The failings were profound but at least they were understandable—the security failure on Saturday that allowed a sniper to fire shots at President Donald Trump was just plain dumb.

How on earth could you not secure the single most obvious elevated sniper position directly overlooking the site of a presidential candidate’s speech?

My post this am:
I admit I know nothing of SS tech, techniques, or SOP.

Wouldn't the SS snipers need to make sure this isnt some kid wanting to get a view of Trump with a telescope or a photographer with a telescopic lens before they start blasting?

A source within the Secret Service community tells RCP that the agency’s rules of engagement in this situation are to wait until the president is fired upon to return fire.

“You want to take a shot then find out the guy was holding a telescope?” the source asked. “The Secret Service is by nature reactive … and you better be right when you do react or you’re f-----d.”

The Secret Service protocol requires that any counter sniper aware of a potential shooter must radio directly to the intelligence division team to respond and investigate. In this case, the investigation may have been cut short by the shooter firing his weapon, so the counter sniper then fired as quickly as possible in return.
Yeah, that was 100% the situation I figured they would try to avoid: Shooting some poor bastard who was just trying to see the president.

I guess the same goes for not getting him off the stage. It’s a fine line between over-reaction and too little, too late. Sounds like kind of the Paul Pelosi situation where the guy panicked and took his shot right after they confirmed he has a rifle.

Still think it’s weird that the shooter made it there with a gun. Even if I wanted to shoot a president or former president, I’d assume I’d be arrested before I got within a half mile with a gun. So did he just say YOLO and go traipsing around a trump rally with a rifle and just happen upon an unguarded rooftop access? That seems unlikely. Betting the owner of said property is about to get an FBI colon cleanse.

Well, all three events were at best lapses in security... or at worst, went according to plan. Also, let's not forget that Husband Kimmel and Walter Short were accused of dereliction of duty for the attacks. Once that blew up, then that isvwhen the US created these othere agencies.

Like any other event even close to the scale of Pearl Harbor, there are dozens of conspiracy theories that try to ascribe sinister motives to the intel failings, but the truth is: Intel collection was too casual, poorly shared and not disseminated to the key decision makers. Just like 9/11.

What did the U.S. do after investigating Pearl Harbor? It set up new intelligence agencies in 1947 that were supposed to share their intel better. That included a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Security Council which coordinated between intelligence agencies and government departments.

maybe the SS could like... you know use their eyeballs to see the rifle... maybe not totally ignore about 50 people telling them there is a guy on the roof with a rifle
I know. I get it.

But think about the (I assume) 100s of hours of debriefing, training, chain of command, etc. That stuff doesn't just get tossed aside.
