One thing the broadcast briefly mentioned is Caminiti was graded as a 3rd/4th round hitter. Kid is a great athlete and if pitching doesn’t work out for some reason he could always try being a position player.

Drew Beam was more deserving of going 1st round than Hess was. That’s a head scratcher for me.
