That isnt rash. It's incompetence, at a minimum....

1. The guys on the ground did great, like 3 seconds to react... they were risking their life.
2. Whoever scoped that place didn't do a good job... it was really the only place within considerable range that was a threat. 150 yards? Wow.
3. The people outside were pointing to the shooter way in advance, someone should have gotten Trump off stage.... we're talking minutes.
4. The counter sniper and spotter seemed to do a good job of engaging, were they waiting on the call?

My guess, they didn't have anyone that could get to the rooftop quickly.... didn't want to engage in fear of shooting an innocent person.

I just said something similar when talking with my good friend. If that Ahole had any experience with a rifle, we would be facing a near-certain violent situation in this country not seen since the Civil War.

Colossal failure by the SS

So what's the deal? The SS is extremely highly trained. Most of them are former rangers or SEALS. The SS on these sniper rifles are among the best marksmen on the planet. They do not hesitate in situations like that. Why did they hesitate this time? Were they ordered to hesitate for a moment?

Maybe someone was trying to confirm the threat and held shooting orders too long. When the sniper saw the unidentified shooter on the roof, I'm very surprised he didn't eliminate him instantly.
