There are plenty of camera views of the teleprompters after the shooting happened. The one on his right does not appear to be cracked or broken from what I could see. This sounds more like an attempt to downplay what actually happened and what almost happened. It's not a good look.

that said, I'm looking at a picture of the aftermath and both look intact - it would have to have been maybe off a top corner
