I'd say 50/50 out of respect for the rally attendees and yes even Trump and his family, and making sure there isn't anything inappropriate being run on television, radio, etc. It is a bad look to have ads of any kind, even simple "vote for Joe" ads with no mention of Trump or the GOP, running in swing states when the former President just survived an attempted assassination.

It sure is and I’m honestly surprised it took this long.
As long as the talking heads shove agendas down the throats of the sheep that need direction, rather than just reporting news, this is going to continue to happen. So the attempt on Trump is getting the headlines now, have we already forgotten about the sickos driving cars into political rally crowds or mass shooters? This **** is exactly what the powersvthat be want to happen, mass confusion, hysteria and in fighting are all good for business.

My main concern here is why surrounding areas were not on lock down by secret service and law enforcement. I've been to Trump rallies before and all elevated positions outside the rallies were on lock down. I smell a rat
