UGA will beat Auburn (did you even see the abortion that was AU football last year?) and GT (LSU exposed them big time last year)

I disagree with the GT statement. There's no exposing that offense. Play assignment football and tackle. That's how you stop the offense. People know it, but don't always do it.

Miami did it to GT before the UGA game and UGA still couldn't stop them.

I don't think Georgia is in quite that bad of shape.

I guarantee you that UGA will not average more than 20 points a game. Willie Martinez will find a way to screw them out of a few big games and they lost way too much firepower on offense. I think they are lucky to win 7-8 games.

no way uga loses to ok st.

They will probably be the best offense UGA plays in '09, other than UF. With Willie Martinez's "defense," they will probably have to score 40+ to win. I don't think their offense will be able to do that.

OK St will not be able to run against UGA. UGA's DT's and LB's are too good. Sweeps won't work either. LB's are too fast. OK St will have to beat them with the passing game. UGA will probably have to double cover Dez Bryant which will open up other receivers. If those guys can make plays UGA loses.

first time they had seen it. I'm a GT fan too but still think UGA will beat their brains in. Maybe I just can't get over the beatdown I witnessed in Atlanta where GT looked completely outclassed

Joe Cox is awful. He'll be benched in two games.

oh, but they are, who's gonna play quarterback? Joe Cox? Oh god the SEC is shaking now, Joe Cox is terrible, and certainly Murray isn't going to, hell he's just a freshman and I believe he's not all he is cracked up to be.

What do you base your Joe Cox is terrible comment on?

people joe cox will be ask to just manage the game ala jp wilson from bama last year, and i think he will be able to get that job done ok. UGA goes 8-4 this season.

Georgia will not go 6-6..... 7-5 is the very worst record they could have, but I see 8-4 with a bowl win to make them 9-4.

Pete Fiutak, CFN

Q: Which program is getting no attention today, but will by the end of September?

A: Am I too much of a wuss if I take Georgia? I have a gnawing feeling that Mark Richt has the type of team good enough to hold Oklahoma State in check in the season opener, beat South Carolina, Arkansas and Arizona State to be a strong 4-0 at the end of September and be ranked fifth in the nation going into the LSU showdown. But making an end-of-September call isn't just about taking a big-time team; it's about finding the good team with the right schedule to get people buzzing. Vanderbilt of last year would be the prototype.

Alrighty, Pete Fiutak is smoking crack, this is also the same guy that says Lane Kiffin is going to only win 3 games this year. Let's back that up Fiutak, UGA is going to be a failure this year and Mark Richt is going to be on the hotseat I believe, the UGA schedule and the results below:

@ OK State- Loss, The Stillwater Crowd Is Going To Be too hostile for this Georgia team, they can talk the talk, but OK State will beat them down.

Vs South Carolina-Alright, South Carolina has been sorta falling every year so UGA wins this one without a doubt.

@ Arkansas- Dawgs win in a close one

Vs Arizona State- Dawgs win again, just because Arizona State isn't very good

VS LSU-LSU wins in a blowout, too fast and too strong for UGA

@ Vols-Can you say another Knoxville blowout as a couple years ago, they come in over confident and get hit in the mouth

@ Vandy-Dawgs win by 7, Vandy keeps it interesting and then fails like always

@ Florida-Gators crush em once again, UGA can't get over the mind games when it comes to Florida

VS Tennessee Tech- Dawgs win but not as big as expected, just one of them dragged on homecoming games

Vs Auburn- Tigers steal one on a late field goal to keep this rivalry rich

Vs Kentucky- Dawgs blow out the expected failing Wildcats

@ Georgie Tech-Jackets sting the Dawgs for the second year in a row, Georgia Tech is steadily getting better and better especially not losing but a handful of kids

Final Results
SEC RECORD (4-4)
Overall Record (6-6)

You fail to show a legit argument behind your ridiculous reasoning.

Georgia beats okla st. hands down.. look at okla st. conference,... really?

All offense , no defense

What are you, delusional? You think because the media says nothing but atrocious things about the Big XII defenses that it's actually true? You truly are a misinformed fan.

This is a really dumb statement. Georgia plays in the SEC, they know about a hostile environment.

Joe Cox isn't exactly a seasoned veteran. Get him rattled early and there is no telling what happens

I say 8-4. They finish 2nd in the east and make a trip down to the Capital One Bowl again

Georgia has had too many big classes to go 6-6, 8-4 at worst. Only definite losses are to the Gators and LSU. Probably lose to Ok State because of who they have coming back and they will be clicking at the start.

Tough ones to predict are TN, G-Tech and possibly Auburn, but no way they lose to all 3Offensive Line is solid and that will give QB a chance. Plus 3 good Rb's and WR's will make his life a lot easier.

Remember the Fl teams in the 90's. Their QB's would just throw the ball deep and a F@#cking guy with the last name of Caldwell would go get it. Predict the same with GA this year.

Same here, I can't get over the beatdown I witnessed in the 2nd half of the UGA-GT game.

Joe Cox is going to do just fine.

I don't see how a 3-2 UGA team comes into Knoxville overconfident, especially considering our first 5 games and likely record going into that one.

GT beat a UGA team that had Knowshown Moreno and Matt Stafford. They'll beat a UGA team with Joe Cocks and some dude.

No way they go 5-0,they lose to Okie State and LSU.3-2 Still will be a tough game for us. Ga. will be 3-3 when they leave Neyland and finish 7-5.

Mark Richt is not on the hot seat. He won't be going anywhere regardless of what happens this year. His worst season was 8 wins in his first year at the helm. Let's not get carried away.

2001: 8-4
2002: 13-1
2003: 11-3
2004: 10-2
2005: 10-3
2006: 9-4
2007: 11-2
2008: 10-3

He just can't take them to the promised land. I hope he never does because, living here in GA, it would be unbearable listening to the fan base talking about it.

I also hope he doesn't, BUT if you're UGA, do you give up a coach that virtually guarantees you 9 wins? That consistency gives them a shot at stumbling upon a NC-type season any given year with the right luck (ex: Stoerner fumble). Do you give up that kind of comfort, knowing a coaching transition can seriously set back your program if not handled correctly?? i say no, if I'm a dawgs fan.

I think a lot of people say he is on the hot seat because of last year supposedly being their year for a national championship and what not. I myself think if he doesn't have them in the talk again in another 2 years it will get warm....JMO
