I don't have a degree in herpetology actually. I have a minor in wildlife & fisheries. My degrees are in various soil and environmental sciences. My dad was a wildlife, fisheries and forestry major at UT, so I learned a lot of that from him growing up. Then I've continued to educate myself in those fields while getting my degrees in other fields to make myself more well-rounded. You don't have to have formal education in something or a piece of paper to be an expert - and I say that as someone who has papers. I also don't have a PhD (yet). I'm still writing my dissertation and regretting every second of it.

I'd decided PhD stands for "Probably Hella Dumb." Most PhD's I've been around during this process have either no discernible life skills, have an insane level of stubborness, or both. I've yet to figure out which of the latter two I am.

It could be the medication that she has been on or is currently taking…. Hospitals are rough on people…. sometimes it can take weeks for patients to be close to normal. Continuing to . I am a Director of Rehab at a Skilled Nursing Facility and have had patients come in that they wanted Hospice. There have been a few that allowed us to work with them first and in a couple of weeks be close to normal. Hospitals push hospice a lot of times but I wouldn’t allow them to do that until she has been away from the hospital environment for a little while.

Close, they can look fairly similar. Milks are in the kingsnake genus and don't have as flat of a head as rats. They also have more vertical labial lines between the scales on the mouth.

The black line across it's nose looks kinda like a milk sssnake

Both have that feature. Don't have the pics on hand but if you compare juvenile grey ratsnake to juvenile Eastern milksnake you'll see the pattern differences. Heads are are physically different shapes.

was at a work conference, non academic. Saw a +1 wearing a Dr in front of name on badge. That's not how this works.

After graduate school, I flirted with Clemson for PhD. At least your degrees are usable. For me, I can buy toilet paper at WalMart far cheaper than I could another useless degree. Mental masturbation.

Yeah, people who do that are compensating. In my studies the ones who require you to call them Dr. are the suckiest individuals whose entire identity revolves around that, they're usually pricks - women included, and they lack self confidence.

Gonna make my medical-doctor friend call me Doc though.

Yeah…Waldrep and Schuster-Smith aren’t inspiring confidence. Kelenic might have found his ideal role at leadoff…if not full time centerfield.
