So adding two teams that they will not even play on an annual basis is going to somehow move Tennessee from a program that wins back to back championships to one that will be middle of the pack? How exactly do you come to that conclusion?
The fact that Florida did what it did against Oklahoma in the World Series and Texas A&M, the third place team in the SEC, pushed Texas to the brink in their super regional makes me think that it will be Oklahoma in Texas that have a rough transition, rather than any of the existing SEC schools.
You can be disappointed or even angry that they didn’t make the World Series this year. That’s a fair assessment. But to act like a program that has won the toughest conference in softball the last two years, and was one of the top three teams in the country for for the entire regular season is going to slip back and become some kind of mid-level poverty program because they have to play three tougher games every year is complete and utter nonsense.
