My favorite that is easiest for me to find is whip….. I also like Hard Hit/Barrel %, SO/9. ERA is based on luck a lot of the time. An example is Elder for the Braves…. I had him on my fantasy team most of the year…..His ERA and stats were really good but you could tell that it was not going to last based on his other metrics… In the playoffs… He gave up 6 runs to the Phillies and this year…. his era is over 6. @Ulysees E. I like WHIP. Very good stat as it measures how many baserunners you allow. To say they ERA it's based on luck is not at all true, IMO. You can ask Bob Gibson if you don't believe me.
