Yeah USM is a good program. Pesky. Would be surprised with a blowout as well but they have to beat Vols twice in a row, in Knoxville. That’s a steep hill to climb.

Really?..it literally tells you how many earned runs the staff averages giving up.

I know you know baseball...but you say some weird stuff sometimes.

Of course unearned runs are not counted...but those are not the pitchers fault...which is why ERA is a good metric for measuring how good your staff works.

My favorite that is easiest for me to find is whip….. I also like Hard Hit/Barrel %, SO/9. ERA is based on luck a lot of the time. An example is Elder for the Braves…. I had him on my fantasy team most of the year…..His ERA and stats were really good but you could tell that it was not going to last based on his other metrics… In the playoffs… He gave up 6 runs to the Phillies and this year…. his era is over 6. @Ulysees E. Just to ruin everyone’s day - if USCe moves on from their baseball coach (rumored he needed a supers appearance) and they decide to go the assistant route, Elander in play there?
