4th in ERA...and IIRC separated from 1st by .07 which basically means that over the whole season we gave up maybe 2-3 more earned runs than Arky....SO...pretty much as big of a strength of the team that a strength of a team can get.
To make this easier for your football tuned brain...if our football offense is top 5 and our defense is top 5...we wouldn't say that ourdefense was a/the weak link would we?
Also. . . if our offense and defense were both top5. . . yes, yes we would say the defense is the weak link and try to fire everyone,4th in ERA...and IIRC separated from 1st by .07 which basically means that over the whole season we gave up maybe 2-3 more earned runs than Arky....SO...pretty much as big of a strength of the team that a strength of a team can get.

And...that's just baseball..
We don't agree on much...but we are in synch when it comes to this game
Exactly. It is considered quite the accomplishment when an MLB team gets 100 or more wins in a season. However, that means that they lost roughly 1/3 of their games over the course of the year. Some of those were undoubtedly to teams considered not as good as them. Baseball isn't football but some folks love to think it should be.Arky losing that game like THAT is the perfect representation of the wicked fickle nature of baseball.
With that pitching matchup...Arky probably wins that game 70% of the time...but they don't play 100 times, KSU only has to win that matchup once.
The ND series loss a couple of years ago should have taught a lot of folks that lesson...but it went right over their heads.
LOL, I love that song. There are horrible songs that get popular in every decade. For my money, there has never been anything quite as bad as Hoobastank's one hit, the Reason.
