Yall picking on my boy Ape. I used to play a mobile game for a few years where I was in a guild and we had full scale wars against other guilds for domination of the world (server). Spent several hundred dollars over time building my own characters/army. There was lots of pressure from the other players in the top10 of the guild to always be online at appointed times for sneak raids on the other guilds, wars etc. Used to set my alarm for 3am etc to get up and go to war because half the guild was west coast or even in japan. I ended up quitting because i realized that it was keeping me tired, using mental energy better spent elsewhere etc. We used an app called Zello that was like Discord to talk to eachother in real time and coordinate attacks. It was really, really fun at 1st and addictive...but like Ape said it became a chore, then like a job. I remember feeling like he feels now...and the "sunk cost fallacy" as well as feeling guilty about walking away from a leadership position kept me there playing for a month or 3 longer than i wanted to...

@apevol my friend...its like a Bandaid bro. You just gotta rip it off fast and be done with it. Trying to slowly peel it off is torture IMO

Or how much the large circle would turn if the small circle turns 1 full turn? (Assuming for simplicity sake that theres zero slippage since those arent gears, they are circles/pulleys) Then theres the question of whether to express your answer as a positive or negative number...because as the small pulley turns clockwise the large pulley would turn counterclockwise which could be viewed as a negative number of turns right? No wonder that nobody has answered "right" lol.

Just want to complain here to someone else how pissed I am that the BaseVols have to share the SEC title with kentucky. Total crap. The fact that we beat them head to head 2 games to 1 IN Lexington should give us sole ownership....but it doesnt. It only makes us the no1 seed for the SEC tourney which doesnt really matter. Total crap. I am real salty about that mess. I did read that this year UT spring is unprecedented...no school in SEC history has ever won the Bball, Baseball, and Softball regular season champs in the same season before. Danny white and our current coaches all around are great. Best in my lifetime. Wish my Pappaw, Dad, and brother were here to enjoy it with all of us.

Well today has been a crap day. I don't have an HOA thankfully, but pretty sure I have a Karen to deal with.

Roof replaced last week, dumpster still in the drive way. I had gotten a hand written letter in the mail box complaining about the dumpster eye sore this weekend, no name, no return address. two pages, stopped reading after the first paragraph. didn't think much of it, and just threw it away. I don't enjoy the dumpster either.

early this AM, got a call from the city today about an unpermitted work dumpster, and they were going to issue a fine. Thankfully the roof guys had a permit and I had a picture of the number. City said no-fine but that permit is only good for two weeks, told them I have already called the company twice.

so circle back to calling the roofing guys who hired a third party dumpster group. Let them know the situation. they called dumpster guys, and said dumpster was picked up. sent them a picture showing it wasn't, and that backed them up. about noon got a call from the owner of the dumpster company, and he apologized but his system said it was picked up last thursday, and they could have it picked up by next thursday. told him that wasn't acceptable. "but it costs us XXX dollars to store it and they don't need it for another week, so its going to stay." dude was just straight up refusing to have his dumpster hauled away.

called back the roofing guys and lit into them about the third party they used. Got a call back from the same owner at 2:30 they are picking it up today. just got news from my cousin that it is gone as of 4.

I looked into calling the dumpster's guy competition and asking if they wanted a free dumpster abandoned in my yard. also was trying to figure out who was the Karen and have someone haul the dumpster to the front of her house. glad it worked out this way.

The old anonymous note deal, those suck out loud. I got one of those fall before last, it said “your leaves are blowing in my yard” had to be a close neighbor, but the thing is, is that all my neighbors have huge oaks and maples like I do, every neighbor within a half of a mile has as many or more or nearly as many trees as I do, we literally live in damn near a forrest. It was beyond a ridiculous allegation. I think I know which neighbor wrote and dropped it off, so I try and blow a few more his way these days. I have no respect for anonymous accusers.
