Big brands feeling the pinch as inflated costs drive consumers away

Prochain Capital President David Tawil said popular brands are feeling the effects of consumers shifting away from high costs, echoing a Wall Street Journal report.

"One California resident, Denis Montenaro, told the outlet he's "done with fast food" after his favorite breakfast order from McDonald's – a coffee with a bacon and egg bagel – totaled $9.67."

"Another former McDonald's customer from the Golden State said the higher costs have compelled him to stop buying, noting that the decision came not from an inability to afford the food, but because he's frustrated that the same meal he used to purchase now costs nearly double."

Actually, he has a point. Others in the past, I think as far back as the Reagan era, called for fencing off the border. Politicaliars on both sides objected in favor of open border to facilitate trade. They actually had a name for that, but I don't recall what it was. I do remember arguments if we did that we should also fence off our border with Canada. Just the same, the border mess existed long before Biden became President. Further, I think Trump's idea was/is what we need. But he was undermined by the type of leeches he attracts and hangs around with. Steve Bannon, Brian Kolfage, and Andrew Badolato who fraudulently
stole money meant for the wall. Further, if you look back, you will see from 1964, Presidents of both parties had a chance to get a wall done. They either didn't under some pretext or another, or instituted timid ineffective actions, like temporary border closings. Biden? He stupidly, well, really to court Hispanic votes, continued the trend of doing nothing, except hindering Texas. Trump, at least, did try to do something. Might have if he hadn't trusted his greedy leeches, assuming he was not in cahoots with the money diversions into their own pockets. Which is possible as his sleaze is well-known.

I don't know where you got your percentages. others have refuted what you have claimed. But if what you have claimed is factual, then you are correct. the percentage of peaceful protesters during the BLM events is higher (95%) than the percentage of peaceful protesters at stop the steal (90%).

Who is looking forward to the 2028 election? NO BIDEN OR TRUMP.

Then again, knowing the zealots on both sides (including ones in here) and how Americans behave, we will probably end up with two more duds again.

At some point we've got to be hitting the bottom of the barrel for political candidates. Let us all hope and pray the last few elections have been the scum off the bottom of the barrel and 2028 will bring much better choices

Possibly... I have been consistently saying on here that a lot of this is our fault.

As an example and big irony, the close-mindedness of turbovol created Trump. MAGA created the Biden backlash, etc.

We really need to look in the mirror if we want to fix our issues.

I will say this about VolNation as a whole, outside of a very small number of posters, I do think most the posters on here tend to listen and get authentic in some of their responses. Good example was the conversation between luther and I the other day (whether you agree with what he said or not, I think he opened up). Not everyone on here is like a turbovol. I have seen other online forums where the message board was just flooded with idiocy and trolling.

Google "total number of BLM protests" , "what constitutes a protest", "what % of BLM protests were peaceful".
"what % of BLM protestors remained peaceful"

And then feel free to come up with a couple of others of your choosing.

I've had this debate several times in the past. No desire to rehash....the numbers are easily available for anyone who actually wants a true and complete picture. (Which eliminates most in the PF.)
