When Tennessee was ranked number 1 in baseball during the 2022 season they joined Texas as the only Division one programs in their history to be ranked number 1 in the sports of football, baseball, men's and women's basketball, softball, tennis, track and swimming.

I talked to Billy and Hunter about it last night, and they both said they were hoping they'd just be as high as #3. Said they hated the idea of being ranked #1 anytime but the very end.

if you're ranked in the top #5, teams come at you hard even harder if you're ranked #1. it's a thing.

only time it really means anything is when the last out of the last game of the season is called.

I’m with WillisWG. Bring it on. If you are afraid of being #1 during the season then you don’t have what it takes to be the champion. Jeez, grow a set people.

Well the number 1 and 2 teams did lose in front us. You can make a case for several teams to be number 1. If we had swept Florida I don’t think it’s even a discussion but with us being 2-2 on the week it made it a tough call.

You could argue it’s the best it’s ever been in the modern era.
