It is common knowledge that he is no Trump supporter. You just like to throw **** at people that disagree with you, and McDad of all people. One of the most respected, respectful, and liked posters on this board. Only someone like you could rile him to even a modicum of any negative response..Congrats on your douchery.Yes ... he is very much a Cult of Trump member. I have had this discussion with him before .... and being a cult member yourself, who the hell are you to call anyone else a "stupid SOB?"
It is my knowledge that even when confronted with video evidence, @McDad has tried to downplay the violence at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, as well as the role that Donald Trump played in it. Like I said, we have had this discussion many times before. It is common knowledge that he is no Trump supporter. You just like to throw **** at people that disagree with you, and McDad of all people. Dude, get a grip.It is my knowledge that even when confronted with video evidence, @McDad has tried to downplay the violence at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, as well as the role that Donald Trump played in it. Like I said, we have had this discussion many times before.
It simply doesn't matter to me. I thought everyone knew DJT says anything. The man has made a career of shilling for everything. What he said about them is as inconsequential as what he says about his opponents. Those things are not part of my opinion on what contradicts the myth.By the way ..... after the fact, Trump also said they were "very special." I guess you forgot about that, eh?
The issue with our discussion is not the discussion. The issue is your complete inability to understand my thoughts without preassigning them into one of your boxes. It is my knowledge that even when confronted with video evidence, @McDad has tried to downplay the violence at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, as well as the role that Donald Trump played in it. Like I said, we have had this discussion many times before.
Stop letting facts get in the way of severe cases of TDS.It simply doesn't matter to me. I thought everyone knew DJT says anything. The man has made a career of shilling for everything. What he said about them is as inconsequential as what he says about his opponents. Those things are not part of my opinion on what contradicts the myth.
The man told the group which got out of hand to go home...that is the evidence I offer against the myth of government takeover.
We've had this conversation before ....It simply doesn't matter to me. I thought everyone knew DJT says anything. The man has made a career of shilling for everything. What he said about them is as inconsequential as what he says about his opponents. Those things are not part of my opinion on what contradicts the myth.

How does one appeal to a crowd for law and order when they are acting lawfully and orderly (on par with what we're currently seeing on college campuses)? We've had this conversation before ....
The problem with using that as a defense, is that those words were spoken post ex-facto. The time to appeal for law and order was BEFORE the crowd marched down to the Capitol; not after the riot had already taken place. It was too late by then. The damage had been done. By that time, the crowd was under control. Prior to the march down to the Capitol, Trump instilled those people with a swelling sense of bitterness and anger, as well as with the false premise that it was still possible for him to retain the Presidency, and that they could help him do it by disrupting the formal certification inside the House Chamber of the Capitol. It was a recipe for violence.
It was very much within Trump's strategy to still retain the office that day. He thought he could accomplish that if Mike Pence would refuse to count electoral votes from states that they had lost, and if his crowd of supporters would disrupt the formal certification process. It was a clear effort by Donald Trump to block the transition of power from himself to Joe Biden. Trump gets no credit, just because it never had a chance to succeed. It was his sincere effort to stop the transition to the Biden Administration. There is no myth to that. It happened.
That is a ridiculous false equivalency. If Trump implores the gathering to fight like hell and he's responsible for an attempted government takeover, then any public figure who has implored a group of emotionally raw people to "hit the streets", "make your voices heard", "no surrender no peace" or the like where rioting erupted is as culpable.
An estimated 10,000 people attend the Stop the Steal rally. Those who acted criminally and dangerously was a small percentage of the larger group. I suspect the BLM protests and riots likely had a similar percentage of bad apples compared to those who were protesting peacefully.
187 minutes later.......after being pleaded with to do so by every single person on the right including his own children. That's a falsehood which meshes with the myth.
He told the 20% (estimated) who went too far to "go home now", like the 80% (estimated) did.
Whether you find that inconsequential doesn't matter to me. I have no problems with others believing in myths.
What a stupid question this is.How does one appeal to a crowd for law and order when they are acting lawfully and orderly (on par with what we're currently seeing on college campuses)?
Have you invested as much time reading what political and cultural leaders are on record saying as peaceful protests turned into something worse as you have DJT and Jan 6?That is a ridiculous false equivalency.
Donald Trump made it clear to his crowd of supporters that he could still retain the Presidency, if Pence would refuse to count electoral votes from states which they had lost, and if the people in that crowd would march down to the Capitol and disrupt the ongoing proceedings ... and the people in that crowd believed every word that he said was true. They marched down to the Capitol and they did exactly what they thought Donald Trump wanted them to do.
