It's a simile.Iām not following here what does NIL/transfer portal to the benefit of the players have to do with coach contracts?
Itās a kids game letās put it into perspective, life goes onIt's a simile.
Or not. I was never seen as a great grammaritician.
The point is do you think sport leagues/and fans would prefer a sense of YoY commonality within their teams or a situation where each team is new every year?
Jmo but in the latter situatuon very few people would ever want to simply buy a jersey. Few players would talk about "their team" or school or city. Nobody would hang jerseys from rafters or build statues. And for what?
Love it or hate it, sports come back to community and togetherness. Once you go full-on mercenary for coaches and players, then that sport becomes unlike any other sport. Not sure how it would pan out tbh.
Again, this is all hypothetical and a thought experiment. Does a sports league and its fans want to see some semblance of a persistent "team" over time or just any ole HC from year to year and rotating guys every season?
Whataboutism and all, it's all relative.Itās a kids game letās put it into perspective, life goes on
Idjit or troll: difficult to tell the difference. Never been sure there is a functional difference.DorkPhoenix seems to still be having a hard time with the hire,![]()
I agree. But I will say if there is a solid LB and IOL available I can see them at least entertaining it though. Definitely wouldn't hurt. I've heard AP state recently that staff could possibly get 1 or 2 just depends on the situationDoubt we add anyone from the portal without somebody leaving. If LWSVOL's calculations are correct and we are currently at 83 scholarships, I think we roll with the team we have.
Just hope everyone gets healthy.
