HVL was never a culture or attitude problem at Louisville. She was chasing a NC and went to LSU hoping to ride shotgun. Problem was that her game did not fit their style and she was worse off because of it.
That’s not what I hear but ok

Jasmine Franklin? Missouri St. I think she had an injury and played on it.
Exactly. Jasmine Franklin was definitely an SEC-level player, and she did an amazing job at Tennessee and was -- is -- much loved for it. Yes, the bum knee kept her from playing as many minutes as all of us would have preferred, but even on that bum knee she more than proved worthy of coming up from Missouri State ( a great program) to Tennessee.

All the assistants should be let go. A new head coach, especially one with a lot to prove, doesn't need rrrr from the old regime looking over her shoulder or questioning things that differ from what Kellie did. Keeping assistants, especially the one in charge of recruiting, should be sent packing. She doesn't need Tennessee's way, it has to be her way.
Take your opinion back to Storrs. Keeping Sam is a very smart move. It gets you back in with Nyla, Finley, and a whole helluva lot more '25 and beyond recruits. Without that she starts out at a disadvantage. She's already at a disadvantage, why complicate it more.

The lack of basic comprehension in this post is mind-boggling. You are either playing naive or well nevermind.. I can’t even take posters like this serious.
Your'e a freaking joke. You obviously don't know shat about basketball. You carry on. I'll just keep correcting you when you speak.

I was originally referencing Destiny Salary (sorry I could not remember her name in my OP).

As for Jasmine Powell, she was a grad student (5th year) transfer whose stats were 4.5 ppg. and 3.8 rpg. in 35 appearances while shooting 48.6 percent in her lone season at Tennessee. Her big games were against UMass and Gonzaga. Her numbers in SEC play were below her averages. I remember she would also come in and work hard when on the court but let's be real.

You can afford to have a Jasmine Franklin type as role player on a talented team but a team of Jasmines is not going to be competitive at the SEC level. That was my point.

Or let's put it this way. Who would take first in a pick-up game - Rickea Jackson or Jasmine Powell?; Jewell Spear or Jasmine Powell?

Franklin would have been a very serviceable player on the SEC but she never recovered properly after her ACL tear. She was an explosive athlete and a monster on the glass. Had a really high motor as well. After she tore her ACL she was just never as explosive and could not get around like she did before. It was pretty sad.

She seemed bummed toward the end of her career.

I get that, of course.

But remember how Jasmine, even with a knee so bad Kellie had to limit her minutes, would courageously step in and take charges? And then Keyen Green was another bum-kneed charge-taker that impressed the hell out of me. Love that kind of role player. 🧡

Key word is serviceable. I am not saying that such players can't make the transition and have some success, That is just not the talent pool from which to build a national title contender.

Has anyone noticed that Tennessee is the only team in the SEC not to have players enter the portal? Seems like a sign the current roster is giving our new coach a chance.
Also this may be an AD thing. I truly do t think people grasp how devastating it can be to a program in transition to get rid of players before u definitely have a replacement.

We could end up with way less talent or talent with no experience or etc etc

Scary hours

See Oregon. See Pitt. See Georgia. See UCF. See Arizona. Etc etc etc

All butchered to irrelevance by the portal and bad roster management
