No, I tried to talk her into going, even offered to cancel, but she insisted I go. She's got a friend who is going to come stay with her while I'm gone.

The sooner the better. Ideally, before they break new growth, but second-best is now, before they get completely jungle-y.

The remaining parts will benefit from having more air and access to sunlight.

Edit to add: rather than just shearing them back, like a Camp Lejeune haircut, if you can kind of burrow in and prune off the oldest canes, maybe two or three, that’s probably your best approach. Although potentially painful.

Tiffany got me😡🤣. My mind wasn't on today, and she texted earlier saying the building people called saying there was a problem, our payment was declined. I was getting mad, because we already paid for it, and it came out of our account already. She let me hang for a bit, then told me.
