i will never understand why some VolNation bretheren & sisteren feel it necessary to put down other VolNation bretheren & sisteren...we all love our Vols - some are BaseVol fans first, some are FootVol fans first, some are VolleyVol fans first, some are SoftVol fans first, some are BasketVol fans first, some are SoccerVol fans first, and some are LadyVol fans first But We’re all Vols. We should stand together and pull each other up, not put each other down.

Newcomers look good. There are more beside those two I’m more excited about. I don’t expect Brazzell to supplant Thornton or boo to be too involved outside of special teams.

I think I’m most excited about guys already on the team that could make a big year 2-3 leap in development. Nico, Ethan Davis, Cam Seldon, Sham, Gibson, Slaughter, West, Hobbs, all could with enough playing time make similar emergences as Pearce jr did last year (non factor to starting or interchangeable in the 2 deep at least). Interior linebackers need to grow up in a hurry. Only position group I’m on edge about.

Anyone else buying all the weird stuff Josh Pate has been vaguely hinting at?

Two days ago he does a segment on how the portal is gonna be bananas after the spring - it’ll make us forget all about Proctor. Claims he spoke to a coach at a big time program who told him a specific position group will be gone after the spring and how said coach already has their replacements lined up.

Then he tweets this




I generally like Pate and he seems pretty well grounded so idk how to interpret this stuff. Is it legit gonna get crazy or is he turning into Alex Jones/Jerry Springer?

Here's the interesting part. My son, son-in-law and I ran my 24' center console over from Ft Lauderdale. Never again. We did it in 2 days to beat weather. We were demolished when we got here. I'm dreading the trip home. Problem down here is if you want to stop, there's no holiday Inn express to stay at. We used a make shift tent and slept on the boat the first night at Highborne Cay. Made it to Georgetown a day early with no place to stay. Fortunately we got in the house a day early.

We had to enter the ocean around a point here on Great Exuma. Huge 8 to 10 footers about every 2 seconds. Scary. I need a bigger boat. 😅

Yeah that trip is a beater. We go over from Jupiter 3-4 times a year. We have a 38 freeman though so it definitely helps. I went once in a 27ft pathfinder bay boat and I thought I was going to die.

'similarly' ive had to brave the 9-12" swells on Watauga and Boone in a Prostar 190. We break it up, but usually arrive to shore safely. Fortunately dont have the boat any more. My brother is now the sole boat owner.

In the summer, we brave the arduous journey to Lakeshore. Sounds of of drunken karaoke fill the night sky.

As an aside, there is nothing like listening to a karaoke version of Highway to Hell, offkey and stumbled through. Gut laughter cures many ills.
