Expect to see a large Tennessee crowd today at the Western Carolina game. The Tennessee website is encouraging fans to arrive early and they expect the bleacher seats to fill up early on a first-come basis. They are encouraging fans to bring their lawn chairs so they can sit on "Hammock Hill" beyond left field. Sure hope Karyln Pickens gets to pitch in front of her home area fans.

Good to see that we added another arm. I am curious was this addition just a precautionary because of the injury to White and they do not plan on using her this season? Or are they using her as a "game is out of hand and I don't want PG or KP throwing" pitcher? I think either way it is a good idea to be able to add another pitcher and I know that this is wishful thinking, but if she is able to pitch in games hopefully she will have some success out there.

Yeah, somebody to be a sacrificial lamb, but no telling it might work out for the best. How no idea, the stamina of Karlyn, I would think Payton is ready to go at all times.

Believe it’s all of it. Talked with a HS coach buddy awhile ago and said she was the hardest pitcher to prepare for and maybe the best to come through Knoxville. But like you said, it’s a good idea and they don’t lose anything by her being a walkon.

Orsini may start but I see Pickens getting some innings too to satisfy the fans. They would be sorely disappointed if they didn't get to see her in action.
