Recruiting Football Talk VII

College football was better before NIL and the transfer portal. It seems like some TN fans just hate anything that Saban ever says. I hate him but I agree with him. Commitment means nothing anymore and neither does loyalty to a team. Having to constantly recruit committed players because of a paycheck is ridiculous.
Complaining about coaches who make millions not wanting to work harder at their job because they don’t like recruiting more is the hypocritical take you love to see from fans who’s life isn’t even effect by it 😂😂😂

Tennessee would appreciate Arizona losing to USC again today.
Plus FSU knocking off UNC .

Who does Tennessee want to play tomorrow Mississippi State or LSU?
Neither one are pushovers, especially if we have another one of THOSE games...but I would really like to be able to repay MSU for the loss.

Our household views marriage as two becoming one in the image of Christ, so we've never really thought to separate accounts. Whether there are separate accounts or joint accounts, arguments about money are generally/often symptomatic of underlying relationship issues elsewhere. It's not always healthy to treat symptomatically.
Agreed on all counts

When I was married our home was one income. She stayed at home by choice and took care of babies. As far as the money went, she took care of finances . For 10 years couldn't tell you how much we had in bank account lol. As long as bills were paid I didn't give a damn what she done with rest of the money.
Lol...the only time I ever say anything about it is when I am planning and saving for a big trip...just to keep us both on the same page.

Contracts will fix the transfer ********
I’m surprised nil deals dont have contract saying your playing here for 2-3 years if I’m paying you this
Personally your scholarship papers should be a binding contract unless your position or head coach leaves
If guys wanna get paid and treated like adults in major sports then they need to sign contracts and realize they can be let go/fired also
Would the school be required to pay the player a buyout if they were released without cause? And cause means a violation of rule or law or misconduct, not performance. That's how it works with coaches.
Right now a player can be dismissed and the school owes them nothing and they can leave and owe the school nothing, can't change one side and not the other.

That would all depend on the contents on a freely negotiated contrac...

Oh.

That's what the lawsuits are about, freely negotiated contracts. NCAA is little more than a bunch of Universities conspiring to prevent a free market for athletes.

Have always had separate accounts with open access for both…also have access to my daughter’s account (she doesn’t want that changed). We each take charge of different responsibilities (bills, utilities mortgage etc) and deposit the rest in our savings account. Only thing that made sense when we consolidated households, and as equal partners there’s never been an issue.

Joint....separate. Either can definitely work.

Oh...... and what is this extra and savings account you speak of?

Nope, college football was a collection of 5 teams that could compete for a National Championship before the year began. Simply because those 5 teams were allowed to get away with things that other programs would get penalized for. Bama was the biggest of the bunch.

I look at college athletes like employees. Saban and his ilk want to be able to run young men off when they don't want them but don't want the young men to leave when they get a better offer. For those that agree, you should sign a contract with your company that you can't leave for 4 years.

Yes. And Miss St. has a higher NET ranking, too (42th). It would be a Quad 1 win on a neutral court (+4 Quad points), if I'm not mistaken, and I guess every minuscule fraction counts.

Compare Florida St. at NET 91st: Mighty ACC foe for UNC. That's Quad 2 on a neutral court (+3 points).
