But it's okay for a coach to make 10 to 13 million a year and leave and hop to another program whenever he feels like it. This is a BUSINESS and needs to be treated as such. If not for NIL and portal we would suck in all 3 sports. Tony V uses portal every year and paying off. Barnes landed Dalton and he's the best player in college basketball. Also, last but not least we have an 8 million dollar 5 star QB who's about to do some things! Lol. But yes please talk about how college sports was better before all of this happenedCollege football was better before NIL and the transfer portal. It seems like some TN fans just hate anything that Saban ever says. I hate him but I agree with him. Commitment means nothing anymore and neither does loyalty to a team. Having to constantly recruit committed players because of a paycheck is ridiculous.
Saban was very clear in his testimony to Congress that CFB is not a business. So what is it? A means for coaches and schools to rake it a poop ton of dollars while the young men that are the product get what? A diploma that they may or may not use in life? Free room and board for 4-5 years? I was never one for openly paying players until coaches salaries started getting out of control. However, the coaches never get a day off. If they aren't coaching in the season they are recruiting or working on how to build their team. They work very hard for their money. However, how can you tell players that their coaches can make hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars per year but the players can't go sign some autographs or do some local advertising and make a little extra scratch. It is hypocrisy of the highest order.Nor should he. This is the way the business world works. The bosses always make more than the employees.

Preach! People with separate accounts actually have just as many if not more issues. Plus it makes it easier for one person to bounce if they feel slighted. Separate accounts may work for some but caring more about your spouse and putting their needs first and them doing the same for you is a guaranteed winner. We would never have separate accounts, and we've never had big relationship issues...my brother and sister in law do have separate accounts and always have major issues.
The problem is selfish self centered behavior...not accounts
Saban wants NIL controlled and regulated by the NCAA, that way they can put a cap on transfers and money which brings about under the table payments from boosters again.Saban was very clear in his testimony to Congress that CFB is not a business.
