You sound like my wife. She can't handle it. I try to tell her basketball is a game of runs and you have to be on or hold off the last one. Play for 35 minutes and whoever executes the last 5 wins.

Having all girls I was always expecting to spend money, no offense to any ladies. New dresses for easter, dances, proms and other stuff, it was the boyfriend stuff I didn't/don't like . College football was better before NIL and the transfer portal. It seems like some TN fans just hate anything that Saban ever says. I hate him but I agree with him. Commitment means nothing anymore and neither does loyalty to a team. Having to constantly recruit committed players because of a paycheck is ridiculous.

Lack of commitment and "what's in it for me" attitude was no caused by NIL. I don't care what segment of society you choose that is the prevailing attitude. It just so happens that the currency of the game today is actual legitimate currency. Players have always cut deals, just they thought they were doing well when they got crumbs under the table.
Saban is pissed because he couldn't have tyrannical control anymore. How are NIL negotiations different from professional sports negotiations? You don't think a professional athletes first thoughts in negotiations are "what's the money?" and "where are you playing me?".
Fact is college players negotiate on a level playing field today same as any business. Nick couldn't handle it in the NFL and he couldn't handle it in college. He can not deal with dissent or anything except total control. He has to operate in an environment where a four foot gnome can control a giant through fear.

If not for NIL and transfer portal the playing field would've never leveled out. It would be be UGA, Bama, Ohio State and Michigan every single year. Saban is just whining because when it was illegal to pay to play he had the upper hand. Saban created NIL and doesn't even know it lol
