Calvin was a beer guy in early 2000's. I was a grad student, working several jobs🤢, would see him everywhere.

Id see him at the CPA with Trazell, playing pick up with current roster players. Not very fast, but just wore those boys out. People that tall shouldnt run that fast or have that kind of body control. Calvin is one of the best athletes ive ever seen.
I thought Jennings was the guard?

And at the same time Science Hill High School had one of the best high school men’s basketball programs in the country. Basketball in Johnson City was 🔥 then.
I know, was in HS then.

Since you brought it up, Jovahn, Nookie, Gerald, Andy. Damn good group.

If anyone met Harman, they'd think he was a CPA.

My girls were at a cheerleader deal at the SHHS Unicoi game. Ive never seen a sorrier group in my life.

Had to go look at the trophys with my son to make myself feel better.

Jennings was PG, Calvin was SG/SF.

Keith and Alvin came to my bday once. Was on cloud 9, as a young kid. Perks of knowing the Sherwoods, lol.

NIL before it was legal.
those players use to work at the stars of tomorrow free basketball camp….. my kids went every year…. I met mr jennings there.

Those guys grew up playing together everyday since they were little at Carver. They were crazy talented and tough as nails. Hard to find that today. Also helped having George Pitts as HC.

The pitcher is supposed to wait until the batter makes eye contact and then they can throw. I don't know the exact issue but if the pitcher is throwing before the batter is set then that should not be legal.
Supposed to according to hard rules or tradition? If that's a rule in college baseball, that eye contact must be made before a pitch, then that's the rule and ya gotta respect it.

In football the QB is supposed to wait until the defense runs out onto the field and looks up and gets set as well...according to tradition. Eff that says Hype and UT football.

Unless it's an actual rule, the onus is on the other team to get their house in order. You step in the box...better be ready to hit. Step onto the field...better be ready for the ball to be snapped ASAP.

If it's illegal and can be enforced, then ALL GOOD - refs need to then enforce it. Seems like an officiating issue at that point. Folks will push it if not enforced.

The ultimate defense is the very simple "hand up". At least when I was playing, just putting your hand out would make the ump allow you time to get extra set before a pitch.
