Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2025-26

Hard not to cry one of the worst outcomes of any game I have ever watched.
Yep. That was excruciating for most of the fans. Delightful for some of the Fahr 🔥 Kellie crowd. Brutal for Kellie and her team. I held up pretty good until Lucy made quite an insightful post about ‘Kea as she left Kellie at the podium. Brought tears to my eyes. 😭

Nebraska vs Iowa might be an upset. If Iowa loses today will the committee do all they can to keep them on the 1 line?

Anyone else watching Iowa/Nebraska and hear that little bit about a “good ole reach around” from the two female announcers? 😂😂😂😅😅😅

I think they have heard that said but aren’t quite sure what it means.

The other responded “sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t.” 😂

There should be a physician with a team at these events. No reason not to have it for situations just like that.

Athletic trainers are great, but they are not equipped to deal with things like that.
Please don’t lump all ATCs together. My ATC spouse is certainly trained to deal with this and has for 38 years. Was a student trainer who assisted when working a football game when a college player went down and was paralyzed. He has seen it all. Often times the physicians on the sidelines with him are looking to him for guidance.

On vacation he sees a guy screaming running out of the water with a dislocated shoulder. He ran to him as did a general surgeon who announced her title with her presence. When he told her what he did and that he had done this a hundred times, she looked at the guy and said “he’s the one you want to do it.” So he put it back in on the beach, sent him to get xrayed etc.

Now the new crop of ATCs that haven’t been through the curriculum from back in the day and have not had to have all the hours of experience that he did many years ago—they are not all equipped, some attending a college that doesn’t even have football, thus why so many of them are very quick to use a spine board. But heck when you aren’t sure, always take every precaution. I am so thankful she only has a concussion even as bad as they can be!
