2024 Presidential Race

I'll take a bite for DJT:
- End illegal immigration and deport certain aliens
- Fight the opioid epidemic and fentanyl crisis, especially focusing on Mexican cartels
- improve international trade negotiations, putting the US first
- limit funding wars in other countries
- give parents more control over public education
- repeal the ACA and give better and more affordable options for Healthcare, including choice, to the people
- limit damaging climate change policies that are handcuffing US energy sources and industries
Excellent. Thank you.
Literally only two of those he can do something about unilaterally. The others, he needs support from the house, others even if something is done it won't change the reality, and some things are actually handled at the local level not the federal level.

OMG! Someone in politics used...dare I say it...hyperbole.

STOP THE PRESSES!!! This has never been done before in human history and BB85 has uncovered this developing story all on his own. BB85 is to be admired and deserve the Nobel Peace prize.

Okay, I'm convinced. Lara made an over the top statement as no one has ever done before and is fully disqualified by the act.
You said she had experience in politics .... aside from her father-in-law's nepotism - what the hell were you talking about?

And her comment was more offensively stupid .... than just mere hyperbole.

What's odd about those of you on the D side is you should be celebrating this. If it weakens the R party, the better for yours. She isnt in a position to pass laws or decide policy for America so she cannot harm us.
When your enemy is making mistakes, let them.
What?
It strengthens trump. That's why it's an issue.
This isn't, nor has it ever been, about the R party; it's about trumism.
They should have remained two totally different things.

Why didn't he do those things during his first two years in office?

Bowl Brothers disagrees it strengthens the party. He thinks if the funding is spent on Trump's lawsuits then that erodes available funds to promote the our candidate. Not sure how you see it otherwise

He definitely increased border security and made progress on the physical wall.

He fought fervently vs the ACA but was unable to get legislation through congress.

He repealed many of the climate change regulations

He definitely incentivized American industry and energy.

I believe the education platform is newer this go-round.

Then you're the little old woman on her front porch fussing at all the younguns going by with their loud music and inappropriate clothes and such. Literally no one gives a crap about her or you wagging the finger. It's not helping anything at all. It's venting your emotions.
No old woman shaking her head at the youth walking by has ever convinced a young boy or girl to behave better.
Sucky analogy. I'll come up with a much better one when I have some time.
We seem to be in complete disagreement here,

You wanna make a difference? You still believe you matter? Do something significant.

Very little new border wall was built. It was mostly just repairing existing structures ... and how did having Mexico pay for it work out?

He fought fervently vs the ACA but was unable to get legislation through congress.
That is true, despite the fact that his party was in control of both chambers of Congress during his first two years in office.

He repealed many of the climate change regulations
Only by way of executive orders, which were immediately undone, once he left office.

I believe the education platform is newer this go-round.
He would just appoint an unqualified billionaire donor to Secretary of Education again .... it would be hard to do worse than Betsy DeVos, though.

It also begs the question when Obama had a SUPER majority from 2009 to 2011, why is it the only major thing he got done was the ACA?

Guns. Immigration. Education. Etc. Even with a supermajority he did very little. Oh but I’m sure BB and other leftist have really reflected on that truth.

I didn't say it strengthens the party. I said it strengthens trump.....which is why it's bad.
This isn't an R thing...it's a trump thing.

^^^^ Full fledged cult member. ^^^^ Nobody else would say something so stupid.

He has already competed his only term ... and it was a disaster. He wouldn't have lost to a candidate the quality of Joe Biden, if it had been otherwise.
Ridiculous!
HRC was the overwhelming favorite to win in 2016. Unfortunately for you goobers, she underestimated the brilliance and campaign strategy of the Great Trumpet! Joe would have lost bigly back then.

I see lots of issues with his current platform and previous accomplishments.

HRC is the one and only Democratic Party candidate that Trump could have ever beaten .... or will ever beat. He won in 2016 by default - and even then, she received close to 3 million more popular votes.

Well, just to be clear as I may be misunderstanding you on these points:

Is it your contention that the daughter-in-law of someone who has now run for POTUS three times has zero experience in politics? Campaigns she has participated in and had a front-row seat to all the ugly of Presidential campaigns? Because your attack on me is about my assertion she does have experience with politics, not arguing she doesn't have enough for the position or something reasonable. Talk about saying something really dumb.

With regards to the statement about Germany and Merkel, it is obviously hyperbole and your inability to recognize it is about freaking stupid as you're claiming the statement was. And I do agree it was a dumbass statement. American politics is full of dumbass statements. They happen multiple times a minute when politicians are in front of a camera. The conservatives on here have been decrying the sorry state of affairs of our political environment. Those of you on the left are virtually rabid about Trump.

And for the record, I don't like Trump either. Never voted for him in a primary, but voted for him in the General (will do so again) because his policies are head and shoulders above anything posited by the other candidates. I think he's an ass and if he is re-elected, we're going to have a three-ring circus for the next four years that will at least be more entertaining than the piss-poor three ring circus we'll have watching Biden continue to degenerate before our very eyes.
