Oilers can git.Now that the combine is over, seems like it's time to speculate.
Titans picking 7th and a lot of mocks have them taking an OT... I actually think they'd be smarter to try and trade back and pick up a 2nd pick in the late 1st or early 2nd.
Not sure any of the OT are really top 10 worthy...I think they'd be better off snagging an EDGE guy if they stay 7th and Verse is the guy I'd want. Turner too if he's still there.
I think he'll go a bit early, but if Wright falls into the 3rd and the Titans can snag him I think he'd be a perfect guy to help fill the void Henry will leave.
He must be young. Pete played in another era where rules were different. NOBODY in today’s game would be effective dribbling in the bygone era that Pete played in. Everyone would be called for carrying the ball (aka palming)…not to mention traveling. Pete on the other hand would likely have been even more dangerous if allowed the freedoms today’s players have.Yea… based on the way he dribbled. Couldn’t play in this era.
Your words. Not mine.
Holdsclaw is my personal favorite. I can never separate her from my experiences going to LV games with my mother...winning a trip to the womens' FF...meeting Pat...Chamique Holdsclaw for starters.
*Four-time All American
*2-Time National POY
*All Time leading scorer AND rebounder in Lady Vols history, SEC history, AND NCAA Tournament history.
*One of, maybe, five women who have over 2000 pts (she has 3025), over 1000 rebounds, over 300 assists, and over 300 steals in their career.
*Final Four All Tournament Team 3 times
*3-Time National Champion
Again...I am, in no way, disputing Clark's greatness...she is an unbelievable basketball player, and has her place AMONG the all-time...
She's not Chamique, though...yes, imo.
Guys like James Harden would seriously struggle in that era of basketball, where traveling, palming, and double dribble were called. He must be young. Pete played in another era where rules were different. NOBODY in today’s game would be effective dribbling in the bygone era that Pete played in. Everyone would be called for carrying the ball (aka palming)…not to mention traveling. Pete on the other hand would likely have been even more dangerous if allowed the freedoms today’s players have.
The lack of a three point line has been addressed multiple times in this thread so I won’t reiterate.
I’m not saying either era is better than the other…just pointing out the differences.
Using a word like fibbing doesn’t change the fact that he lied to the organization that could have caused the university major problems. And the fact that the organization is a scumbag for not treating every school equally doesn’t change the fact that he did what he did. After what we’ve been through with that scumbag organization, I can’t believe people still clutch their pearls at the thought of someone fibbing to them.
Liked for calling me the hulk. Every argument you made was clearly validated with that statement. Consider the groceries carried.Well maybe not 8-9 times stronger but:
"It's already known that males' upper bodies, on average, have 75% more muscle mass and 90% more strength than females'. But it's not known why."

Why males pack a powerful punch
Elk have antlers. Rams have horns. In the animal kingdom, males develop specialized weapons for competition when winning a fight is critical. Humans do too, according to new research. Fighting may have long been a part of our evolutionary history.www.sciencedaily.com
When you go further down the rabbit hole of sex differences though things get really strange on a lot of measures. Like muscle mass not always equating to strength and figuring out why women tend to outdo men in a lot of endurance based activities. Why lower body strength seems to work differently and on and on. But in terms of muscle mass and upper body strength you're the freaking Hulk compared to any female.
Eventually we'll figure out that there are different mechanisms at play in men and women (muscle mass might be a great measure for men but not a good gauge for women) but for now go carry the groceries in.![]()
Agreed there. I don't think his play on the field deserves a big contract, but I like when nice guys win, so I hope he gets paid. And I hope a slower paced system allows him to shine more than he did here. Could definitely happen.your contract is determined by where you are drafted…. I hope he gets a good guaranteed contract bc of who he is as a person and what he meant to Tennessee.
Agreed on all points.I love Bruce, and he will always be thought of highly in my regard. I think it’s silly people dislike him, when in the reality the dislike should go towards incompetence in the athletic program to fire him over an extremely minor issue in hindsight. With that said, and despite me saying dumb stuff in the heat of the moment, Barnes is the greatest coach in school history. Period. No I don’t have to see him reach an Elite 8 first. Owning Kentuckys ass and likely to at least have 3 conference championships, the consistency of being a top 10 program. A deep March run, we all need to see it, but 67 teams are going to go home heartbroken either way.
Nope, not budging on this one. If the NCAA wanted to promote honesty and cooperation, they shouldn’t take every opportunity to punish honesty and cooperation.Using a word like fibbing doesn’t change the fact that he lied to the organization that could have caused the university major problems. And the fact that the organization is a scumbag for not treating every school equally doesn’t change the fact that he did what he did.
Have you passed puberty yet?He was skilled for his era. Get real. Someone like Kryie Irving would make him look foolish with the handles NBA and even college players have today. & a defender like ZZ or Mashack would pick his pocket every time down the court dribbling up at his damn shoulder. Idc what league he played in. He was good in his ERA doesn't mean he'd be worth a damn in today's time. Cause he wouldn't be![]()
You need to take your patriarchal, binary pseudoscience and get to stepping.Well maybe not 8-9 times stronger but:
